Jack Johnson and the 30th overall pick. That's the grand plan to save the franchise? - Leeman4Gilmour
So you want to trade Kessel for the 30th pick overall, yeah that is a recipe for success. - LeafMan
That's what Howson got after Carter had obliterated his own value. Prior to that, Carter gave the Flyers Voracek and a 1st that turned into Couturier.
The value is there if you find the right team at the right time.
And you also both ignore the fact that the Leafs would be drafting in a great position with their own pick.
It's funny. You two will argue to the death that Kessel is an elite goal scorer and yet you think he's worth nothing in a trade. Be consistent. |

Or maybe Kadri and Frattin start getting more ice time as a result. Just like you wanted.
Maybe they perform well enough that they keep us out of the basement. - Leeman4Gilmour
Playing more of Kadri and Frattin will disrupt the subtle tank |

I have no idea....... but there were two Pens scouts watching last night. Pens have been interested, and apparently Malkin is pushing for it. He played with Kuli in the KHL.
Maybe the Pens first. - faceto27
Scott Harrington?
Kulemin is arguably the best 2 way forward on the Leafs, I don't think it would be wise to trade him. |

No thank you, we already have a better version of Kessel in Raymond.
One soft perimeter player is enough. |

Kuli has proven that hes magic in the KHL with Malkin as center. A line of Neal, Malkin and Kuli could be scary. |

So, Kulemin for the 25th overall pick?
And this helps us? - Leeman4Gilmour
Yeah, sure, why not?
He was a 43rd I believe, who's not to say we can find talent at 25 even better than him. |

probably not..... I wouldn't do that trade. But just saying that is what the Pens were offering Burke last year for Kuli |

he'd be the only guy i'd consider from the pens really |
|
|

and that helps the Leafs how? - LeafMan
It doesnt. Im saying that we dont trade him to the Pens ever, as we will regret it every time we play them. |

Doubt it. Frattin and Kadri are currently the hot hand. Doesn't mean they can keep it up for the whole season. It also doesn't mean that they can handle the defensive part of the game for the whole season.
Frattin and Kadri should be getting more ice time now because they're on fire. When they're hot, you go with it. But I wouldn't expect it to last the whole year. Odds are, even if it did, it still wouldn't be enough to keep them out of the basement. |

Kassian is looking better than he cause he's with the Sedins. - Fakepartofme
1st overall, Kassian, Gaunce and another 1st round pick all of a result of trading Kessel?
Again, yes. |

Seriously? This is why people hate Leaf threads.
Bobby Ryan for Kessel - why would Anaheim do that?
And junk for Backstrom isn't going to cut it.
Just because you want to unload a player doesn't make it possible. |

Sometimes I wonder if people here realize you need at least two GM's to make a trade. |

Some do, some still dont.
You can make a case for anyone by making up lopsided trades.
