And a word of caution to everyone out there: Leafs tickets have a bar code. But for any game, I can go to the Ticketmaster website and print out my tickets, instantly making the bar code on the original paper copy invalid.

So just because some guy is selling you the paper tickets, don't assume they will work.

Also, a word of advice: if you buy a couple of tickets, and print out a bunch of copies, you can make lots of money fast.

Once again, let me stress: I meant Leafs fans are more sophisticated in that they have a greater understanding and appreciation of the finer aspects of the game of hockey than do Philly or Nashville fans.

Because most Leafs fans in the building will have played the game at one time or another.

Absolutely ..it takes a bad call, a good fight or terrific play to get most S.Ont hockey fans off their asses. For most of us, between playing, watching our siblings play and watching games on t.v., we've seen what a couple of thousand games each ....on average.

It's like John Holmes staring a pair of boobs.

And this whole spritzer and wine theory ...c'mon. MLSE makes a killing on lower bowl beer sales ...a killing. Those brokers/bankers/lawyers/etc... have a half dozen pints in them by first intermission ...that (and the blow) is probably what's keeping them "quiet".

Nobody gives a (frank) because this is the longest playoff drought in the NHL and it's the largest fanbase/money maker. When Phoenix and St. Louis get into the playoffs on 45 mil salaries and TO is in the bottom-5 with 59mil and so it's just disheartening.

No, it really isn't.

The idea of the Leafs just barely failing to make the playoffs should not be "scary" to any normal human being.

It's a game.

No, it really is. The idea of the Leafs getting a crappy draft pick and continuing the cycle of mediocrity might be normal for you though.
