And to be honest, I wouldn't consider it to be a terrible thing if on the opening faceoff, the other team wins the draw and fires it down the ice. With Kessel and Kadri on the ice, they are probably more dangerous lugging the puck into the zone than setting it up in the zone.

I put Gardiner with Kostka b/c they played well together in the Ahl. Liles with Holzer or Komi ....and yes Komi will be bought out this summer. I still assume that if the Leafs get healthy Franson will be moved.

I don't see it as a problem, if you lose the faceoff, regroup, you always get another chance to bring it back in to the zone.

I think the Leafs need to make a trade. With the amount of D men they have and the injuries around the league, they need to trade (even if just for low draft picks).

Our D lines should be

Phaneuf - Gunnar
Liles - Gardiner
Franson - Kostka

and Holzer (as the 7th)

Komi, Fraser need to be sent packing for any return.
