Before the Canucks played well and choked in the playoffs, the Sharks did.

The Sharks have looked really good for a long time and then didn't get it done in the playoffs.

Could be different with a short season but it's something they've done many times before.

Good mix of veterans and youth, I can see them making a push especially with other teams taking a step back.

Never have and never did.

Just like he didn't make a mistake by not paying the price on Luongo.

Funny, because it's almost the exact same situation, it just takes a little bit of reading between the lines to realize it. With Luongo, the Leafs would have great odds of making the playoffs. But it doesn't mean it's the right move to make because the Leafs should stick to rebuilding.
