Seriously dude, this convo is done.

These are good questions, can we count on the Toronto media to ask them? Or would they rather discuss Luongo and Kessel's goalless streak?
- mykokes

Thats what i mean. The media just talks all this poop about lou coming to TO. who gives a poop? just try something new out there. that game against the caps we had a million pp's and couldnt doo a thing. Think its time for a change. The game shouldnt have even been close. A working PP would have sealed the deal. Even 5 on 3 we look lost out there. Phaneuf is not the answer for the PP and kostka is far from it aswell

Scott Harrington?

Kulemin is arguably the best 2 way forward on the Leafs, I don't think it would be wise to trade him.

- LeafMan

I'm sorry to say it, but Kulemin should no longer be considered a 2-way forward.

Until he finds his scoring touch again, he's a defensive-minded grinder.

It's the facts. At the moment, his playmaking isn't anything special. He's far too busy taking low percentage shots than he is worrying about using his linemates effectively.
- Two_For_Truth

While I agree with this for the most part. It's hard to be a playmaker when Bozak is the guy who would be finishing the plays.

Using his linemates effectively is a tough thing to put on a pure goal scorer. I think they are the ones who are ineffective (bozak is effective at winning draws and that's about it, he is a third line center on most teams in this league)

That being said... he isn't burrying the puck right now and therefore not doing his job effectively.

Although given his history I would say that will come to an end soon and he will start putting hte puck in the net.

He's had one season where he scored 80 points. And it was in a wide open system that allowed for high offensive totals. Even among offensive players, there are many examples of more dynamic, multidimensional players to choose from.

He definately should not be considered a 2nd line forward anymore. Third line tops.

Being used as such, doesn't make him one.

Just like Bozak being used a number 1 center doesn't make him one

Bozak sucks but it doesn't mean he can't use van Riemsdyk more often.

At the moment, Kessel is playing like he doesn't trust anybody but himself and is being very selfish. That only compounds the issue because all teams have to do is collapse on him and the whole 1st line is neutralized.

2 way forward does not necessarily mean he has to be scoring a lot of goals, he is contributing with assists and fore checking in the offensive zone, currently he is third on the team in points.

grabovski has nobody to play with until lupul is back and JVR can at least plant himself infront..

they can keep the puck in and grind and thats about it, nobody can feed gbov the puck and hes having trouble finding someone to pass to!

i think the lines need some work. and i think we need a LOT more of kadri and frattin on the ice.

exactly.

i think once again were just in a bit of a poop spot and everyone is looking to point fingers.

only finger i can point right now is at dion.

he is the captain and needs to step it up, whether thats a big hit, a fight, or to simply take some control in the dressing room and get a ball of fire under the boys ass' and get them going.

hitting the net would be a good start...

I have a different meaning of a 2 way forward I guess, he works hard both sides of the red line and is chipping in with some points.

If by setting up plays you mean taking a 40 foot shot into shin pads and sticks, yeah, he's setting up plays all the time.
- Two_For_Truth

He has no other options.

Would you pass to Bozak?

At his own blue line trying to catch up? Probably not a great play.
