They would be foolish not to. Enroth hasn't looked good in over a year. Who else we got besides leggio? |

Goalie stats pretty much rely on the team playing in front of them. Cant expect our goalies to be saving 2on1 and 3on1 all the time. Or players that walk in from the wall and get open looks at the net to pick corners.
Miller and Enroth let in a soft one a game, but the rest of the goals can all be taken care of by the team in front of them.
Take a look at Lundqvist this season for what I mean by goalie stats rely on the team in front of them. |

I think they resigned him. I never saw him play but Leggio gets peppered every game 35-40 shots so he'd adapt here pretty good.

Thats BS for Enroth. Just about every goal this year has been savable. He lets in garbage and doesn't belong on a NHL roster. |

Thats BS for Enroth. Just about every goal this year has been savable. He lets in garbage and doesn't belong on a NHL roster. - Smittyx36
Goal 1 -- Skinner left all alone in front of the net by Hodgson. He roofs it backhand in tight. Fault: Team.
Goal 2 -- Pominville tries a retarded cross ice pass on the PP. Carolina picks it off down ice 2 on 1. Faulk takes a clapper from the boards goes five hole. Fault: Enroth. Note: Team should not be allowing 2 on 1's while they are on the PP.
Goal 3 -- Hodgson, yet again, with a terrible play behind the net. Tries banking it off boards around Skinner, who picks him off. Enroth caught moving to other side of the net, cant reach his short legs back to prevent wrap around. Fault: Team.
Goal 4 -- Right off the faceoff following Skinner goal, Staal magically gets a breakaway right up the middle splitting Regher who is at the boards for some reason. He puts one five hole on Enroth after a slight dangle. Fault: Team.
Goal 5 -- Two Sabres players get burnt in the corner by 1 Canes player, who manages to feed Eric Staal who is in front of the net at the hashmarks ALL ALONE. He beats Enroth through the 6 hole. Fault: Team.
Goal 6 -- Montreal beats Enroth on a 2 on 1 at the side of the net. Fault: Team.
Goal 7 -- Montreal blasts a shot from the point on the PP. Enroth makes the save. Lone Montreal guy in front of the net beats all Sabres in the area and slips it outside for another player to shoot at a wide open net. Fault: Team.
Goal 8 -- Ottawa is on the PP, not a single person got in front of the Karlsson shot, and everyone was screening Enroth. Fault: Team.
Goal 9 -- Fault: Enroth.
Goal 10 -- Hodgson turns it over trying to make a pass up the middle instead of to a wide open Pominville. Then he doesnt try to recover the puck. Alfredsson steps off the half wall into the slot with a wide open look and beats Enroth low above the pad. Fault: Team.
Goal 11 -- Myers and Pommer dont communicate, get beat to the puck in the corner when they have all the space in the world. Guy beats multiple Sabres and passes to a wide open Neil in the slot who one times past Enroth. Fault: Team. |

I'd just like to say that even oh I have only seen about 2/11 GA for Enroth, by your descriptions, it sounds like he should've had Atleast 6-7 of them.
I am a goalie, and yes we do get a lot of poop, because we are last line of defense. That being said, it is OUR JOB to stop the puck. Really any 5 hole goal is unacceptable unless a one timer from in close, or on a breakaway/nice move.
To say "oh it was a bad turnover, or an odd man rush, so it's the teams fault". I'm sorry, but if the goal is stoppable, it shold be saved. If I let up a bad rebound, or let in a bad goal, I don't give a (frank) what happened in front me, I need to save the puck. That's my job.
That's Enroths job, is to stop the puck. If he's let in bad goals, then they are on him. It doesn't matter what the (frank) it is, unless it's like a 3 on 1 or a flat out breakaway and a goal that could've been stopped, our job is to stop the puck. Period. |

Im my post i didn't necessarily blame the goalies. But 25th and 60th. There is something seriously wrong there. |

Sabres are now 28th in the league with the Caps and Calgary the only teams in the league with fewer pts. Nathan MacKinnon - GilPerreault11
He looks good...
But i think I'd pick Seth Jones
We need a stud defenseman badly

Jones to round out our defense with a BAMF
or Valeri Nichushkin to replace stafford with a real hockey playing forward that might have power also. |

I actually like our group of forwards w Armia & Tropp coming in next year
Desperately need another guy that can win faceoffs though,
Even if he's a 4th liner
Ott can't take them all and this is just plain embarrassing |
