Just saying having your 2 goalies play 60%/40% does not work in the playoffs. - Cheeseballin

I am sure you are too young to remember don edwards and bob sauve

You want someone to win the job, for sure. By the time you get to the 40 split you're almost guaranteed to be in a deep hole already.
It's not necessary to anoint someone though, or to tie 10% of your cap up in a goaltender. That's why I'd like to see us focus on building a better team, rather than constantly waiting for a goalie to bail us out. It seems like that's been our approach since 1997. |

@TBNbucky
The guy? Figured it was entire section. RT @digitalkid2112: @TBNbucky just like the guy in 317 that shouts "fire regier" every game
Bucky and I lived in the same neighborhood and played little league together. Maybe something in the water that causes us to see that the main reason this team sucks is mainly due to how Darcy works. - GilPerreault11
That's the guy that I sit by!!!!! He sits 2 rows in front of me!!! |

Carolina didn't have a clear cut #1 because Laviolette is a disaster when it comes to making up his mind about a goalie. Just look at the year Philly made it to the finals. - HonkFortheGoose
But it worked in '99... |

Yet it worked for them. I keep hearing this theory about how Laviollette treats his goaltenders wrong, yet the guy has won more playoff series doing it. It's definitely unconventional, but perhaps more coaches should shorten their leashes, because more often than not, when he does it, he's successful. |

I'm not saying it's wrong. More or less that you never know what he's going to do.

i wish buffalo had a rask as a backup. 2 seasons ago enroth looked pretty solid. im not blaming him for 3 of these goals (even though i would have liked him to have either bailed us out on either the alfredson goal or the neil goal).
dont we have makarov from russia's junior team? |

leggio would replace enroth long before makarov.
from stats, makarov and ullmark both look like pretty good goalie prospects, though. |

There's several in the system.
Knapp is in Rochester, currently with Lieuwen.
Ullmark is in Sweden I believe.
Makarov is in the WHL. |
