I know you like Myers, and I do too, but Tyler's puck handling at the line helped the offsides there. He was not taking a straight line. Looked awkward...

sure im sure there are a few exceptions to the rule but his whole point was that if you have a goalie you play him like a #1 and 9 times out of 10 thats how a team is built to win the cup.

well he just said name the last time its happened. and since the lockout its really happened more often than not for the regular season at least.

rask played 30 games for boston
cristobal huet played 48 games for chicago
hasek/osgood virtually split games
bryzgalov played 28 games for anaheim
gerber played 60 games for carolina then split with ward in the playoffs

Name the last time a team had this system and won a cup. you need a true number 1 goalie to get you through the playoffs nowadays.

Carolina didn't have a clear cut #1 because Laviolette is a disaster when it comes to making up his mind about a goalie. Just look at the year Philly made it to the finals.
