I agree 100% with you. If it was not for #26 and #29 the sabres would be winless. Cody is an above average player but would be only a 2nd line center on any playoff bound team. He is going to have good stats just because of the line he is playing on. #26 is carrying the team on his back period.

Yeah I think Vanek is the core of that line, but I think the 3 players together, compliment each other very well, I must admit though Hodgson does look better than last year, seems a bit quicker and well he is now a 1st line center anyway! Even if it is on the Sabres.

Orr faired better than Thornton because he got inside. Scott just held Thornton at arms length and battered his head. You know a guy is a beast when he can give you a concussion in a hockey fight.
