It has nothing to do with emergency status. It just helps prevent veterans sent down from staying down due to cap issues rather than ability issues.

Well our AHL team could probably beat our NHL team at this point.. so GOOD FOR US!

I like the Sens and I said when the Senators acquired Anderson that was a going to be a move that paid off. People laughed at me when I said it.
Well, they are not laughing now. Bishop may be a bust but Lehner looks very good as well. Sens look set in net for the forseeable future when that position looked bleak just a short time ago.

while i don't think bishop is gonna be a stud goalie, i think it's too early to say he's a bust. he played really well last season, and in the AHL this year. so far he only has 1 game at the NHL level this year, which is a result of anderson playing like a vezina winner. yes, he did give up 5 goals in his only start, but it was against tampa. considering they're scoring almost 5 goals per game, it really isn't that bad of a stat. if he keeps playing like poop, then cool. i dont' think he was ever gonna be more than a solid backup, or a below average starter on some weaker teams. still worth the 2nd that ottawa paid for him, cuz it allows lehner the time he needs to develop.

i think he signed a 1-2 year deal in the KHL. ottawa tendered him an offer, as he was an RFA, but i'm not sure if he accepted. doubt we'll ever see him in the NHL again.

i think they gave up a 3rd rd pick. considering how many young players sens have, on roster and in system, 3rd rd pick doesn't mean much right now.....imo.
