This team played the same way last year besides the yearly crap we are out of the playoffs better play hard the last 15 games and maybe make it if we are lucky. When was the last time buffalo made it to the playoffs under ruff and got out of the first round? 2007 That is sad

Peca on the ice is better than peca not playing for a year. That whole debacle effected the team and wasted a perfect opportunity to win the Cup.

You are right he was never the same after leaving, same could be said for the majority of players that leave here

- RynoBull

I wonder if that is because Ruff is such a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad, coach of potential, or if it is because he simply gets the most out of every player with the sense to listen to him. Those players then go on to prove just what kind of talent they have.

Sens suck!!

But at this stage the Sabres suck more, except for the V-Line

- MikeyOz

I agree 100% with you. If it was not for #26 and #29 the sabres would be winless. Cody is an above average player but would be only a 2nd line center on any playoff bound team. He is going to have good stats just because of the line he is playing on. #26 is carrying the team on his back period. The problem with this team is ruff. He brings old philosophies to the team as far as game plans are concerned and that is what is going to kill this club year after year like it already has. We need a new young coach with new age nhl gameplans that revolve around how the game is played today not 15 years ago. We need a young , smart coach with some balls.

And to others, just don't. I will take people out that start or perpetuate fights. Disagree if you want, but if one person isn't taking to jokes, don't keep it going please.

far more examples of players who left buffalo and couldnt get on the ice for other teams than their are players who left and got better

He is terrible. Period. No debate. he's had 2 All-star goalies, No cups. 0-15. No series wins in 6 years. I could go on and on and on and on

Dumont. Biron maintained his level of play. Briere of course. MacArthur maintained

Edit: Campbell is pretty good too.

True and most of the players who have left here have had already been here for 75% of there career for the most part and were already on the downswing. Ala except brier, biron etc.

Interesting....someone was talking about reuniting Meyers with Tallinder and Dan Rosen recently tweeted That tallinder will be a healthy scratch for the 2nd straight game with the Devils tonight....May be they would like to do a swap. Anyone have any insight on the Devils needs?
- seedy

devils need offense, 2nd line, or a good offensive prospect

devils D is deep and its a numbers game where they will be sitting players to get others in (larsson sat 5 games, then fayne sat, now its tallinder)

but it seems like teams want to keep depth on defense due to the fear of injuries in the short season

deboar said that tallinder would be in and has been playing well but he needs to keep everyone fresh and get everyone playing time and larsson and others have shown to be very capable
