wonthecup.. if you like passionate tough kids watch out for scott laughton. kids gonna be under the skin of a lot of opponents and has 'some' offensive talent to boot. looked really good in his 5 game NHL stint this season.

Other Notes: Crosby took a puck off the face tonight.

I'm pretty excited to watch the hawks tonight. Niemi vs. Craw is probably my favorite subplot of the game.

Awesome you got to see Kate live. I think the Lauren Hart and Kate Smith God Bless America is the best intro in sports. But I could be biased

i don't think your biased, as much as i like Jimmy C at the UC, that "God Bless America" just grabs your heart. it is the best. i'd like to take my wife to a flyers game in philly just to experience it once! problem is the knucklehead fans would harass us. i'd spend more time explaining to those guys why were here and how the flyers are 2nd to me than i would be able enjoy the experience and watch the game in peace!

This combination would give the Hawks one of the top scoring lines in the league, followed by a good secondary scoring line, a NASTY third line, and, what I believe would be the best fourth line in hockey. The overall success of these combinations comes down to the effectiveness of the second line, IMO.

Also, I would love to trade Stalberg to Winnipeg for Jim Slater.

yeah - curious to see how they respond to vinny's punch while talbot was down on the ice. Lightning/Flyers are turning into quite a rivalry (especially with Lavy's statement about Boucher's defense scheme last season). Lightning are a very good team but flyers are holding their own without Hartsy, Simmonds, and Mez in the lineup.

"the new carbomb!" gotta love homer , he always seems to find those passionate tough kids! unlike...........???????? besides the hawks, the flyers are 2nd in my "hockey heart" since the 70's ! plus got a chance to see kate sing live at the old spectrum. i wish the tv package would televise the anthems before the games! some of them are very moving! chicago, philly, montreal, vancouver, just to name a few!!

As a minimum I would like to see some grit replace sharp and move him to the first line since I dont like this line come playoff hockey

Should be a good game tonight. Nemo is a very good goalie, but as we know--prone to juicy rebounds. Since the hawks don't establish much net presence, buzzing the net & beating the bigger, slower SJ defensemen to pucks may be the formula.
