These type of goals PISS ME OFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Phuck the butterfly style and STFU....a.k.a. STAND the f up !

- philco28

Agreed. The job for a not too athletic goaltender is to stand up and make himself look big which he doesn't do consistently enough.

But I'm not looking to bring Darren Pang back.

Love the depth on the back end. As much as we bash him at times (deservedly so in most cases) props to Stanbow for the Brookbank and Rozival signings. Much more confidence in that bottom pairing this year.
- Ogilthorpe2

Hammer had a big game...Johnny O was fairly solid...and Leddy had another fine game...not to mention Brooky seems to finally settling in.

Like the balance on the blueline 4 SURE

Unlike the last few years we stood up to the the physical play

I really think unheralded #17 is a steadying influence on the back end he had another good game

We deffo answered the bell physically. Bickell set a great early tone with some solid staples and away we went. If we play like that....sky's the limit.

awww c'mon SBF you have more insight and vision than that....

Well, I'll back off to two.

Look, he's been very good all year - I certainly recognize that, and you know I haven't been a fan.

I also don't care that much about the first period goals: what's been most impressive is that (except for Calgary's goal wit 35 seconds left) he hasn't let in a bad, game-tying or -losing goal at the end of games, hasn't let any in in OT.

That was my biggest problem with him in the past: you can come from 2 down after 10 minutes, EDIT but hard to do so with bad goals given up in the last 5 minutes.

I have to say I new little about Brookbank but every game he make the high percentage plays and doesnt hurt us by doing something Keith like

I can respect a relatively mistake free Dman

After the first 10 minutes, and aside from Johnny O nearly scoring on Craw right off of a face off, I noticed very little to complain about fom the blue liners tonight.

Agreed RJ...Crow and Emery have been brainwashed into committing themselves too early IMO by falling to their knees almost routinely. Afraid we'll see a lot of those type of top cheese goals this year. It's just too ingrained in both our 'tenders.

We're off to an obviously PHENOMENAL start, but my worry is...in crunch time...a goal like the 2nd one tonight will beat us...WHEN IT DOESN'T HAVE TO.

He was a little shaky in his first few games IMO but he's coming along nicely.

Agreed....that Pizza Man's SOG on his own goalie was disturbing. Would like to see the replay because i think a Sharks' player actually slapped at Oduya's stick giving the appearance that Johnny fired on his own net when he may have had some help.

Leddy's recovery speed is INCREDIBLE.
When Hammer's on...his active stick and shot blocking are A1.
Still want to see Seabs' have a DOMINANT game, but he's pretty damn solid.

When I found out we were starting the year with 10 of the first 12 on the road, I thought they needed to get at least 14 of those first 24 available points to be in decent shape...if you had told me that they'd have 18 points after just ten games...I'd have told you I'd be ecstatic. Is it greedy of me to now expect that they come home with at least 20 points?

another team with a soft opening schedule..8 of 11 @ home and only 2 BTB's. Yotes are also nothing special with out a very good and healthy Smith they are out this year.

Here's to the Hawks going 9-0-2 vs these mopes and Torres hopefully getting his ass kicked!!!
