no simmonds, meszaros, and hartnell is so (frank)ing aggravating. just once i'd like to have a healthy (frank)ing team.

Even 'relatively healthy' would be nice. Like, one or two injuries at a time would be an improvement. But, as they say, "When it rains, it... uh, gets really wet."

i'm actually shocked they even have a single injury. seriously.

The good news is Ryan Callahan is back practicing.

I've been thinking this too. With the exception of a few guys, they've been playing very soft. They aren't getting in deep on the forecheck to begin with, but even when they do they back off hits and just let the other team bring the puck out. They need to start checking, and being more physical... obviously do it clean, and don't take stupid penalties... but no doubt the missing physicality is contributing to their losses...

i'm not advocating for nothing but hitting. i don't need it, and don't think that's effective, but they need more. the only ones i see hitting consistently are b. schenn and sestito (when he's out there). rinaldo and shelley probably too, but whatever. they can use a little more edge/grit.

it just never ends. and as soon as those guys come back, don't worry, another 2 or three will go down immediately. it's just a matter of which players.

Of course he is. Why would anybody else sustain an injury that requires significant IR time? I swear, it'll be fascinating watching the injury woes even out in the long run. At this rate, we're due for a year where the Flyers stay completely healthy, and literally the entire rest of the league goes on the IR.

You are more optimistic than I am. I'm figuring 2 or 3 other guys will go down before they get back.

I figure we're just going to see somebody go approximately every eight periods.

A Carle shot from the point will break someone's foot tonight.

Well, now that you've said it it's inevitable. Who is it tonight? Coburn? Read? Brygalov?

Nah...after a terrible display tonight, the whole team, with the exception of Bryzgalov, will be listed as 'questionable' for the foreseeable future due to a post-game visit by Mr Snider, where he literally "rips them a new one."

What percentage of NHL players actually attended an American university? Just curious.

Minor lineup change for tonight: Rinaldo to 3rd line with Schenn and Voracek. Talbot centering 4th line with Fedotenko and Sestito.

My son is a goalie in the mite division and his team always leaves 1-2 open guys in front of the net. When he gives up a goal to one of them he beats himself up like it was his fault. Funny how the kids on his team all chase he puck.

Re-evaluated today according to Holmgren. Still experiencing concussion symptoms.
