Can we talk about something serious here? Like why a beautiful new arena like Bell Centre can't fit the backup goalie on the bench?

Bush league.

- Fountain-San

Hmm. Worded a little differently than on Ty's blog.

Coach: Plek we need a faceoff get out there
Plek: alrighty

The following was posted by one Geoffrey Fountain in another thread:

you know that really bothers me. in a new building like that to have no room for a backup goalie on a bench is bush league.

We should take this into consideration when deciding how much we like him.

Is it possible to like him less?

hey whatever man. i was talking about last night, brought it up in the Bruins thread and felt as though not bringing it up to my Habs friends would be cowardly. i thought this could be discussed objectively.

yeah because i was trying to explain why it might be tougher for him in games vs teams that are deep down the middle, because he doesnt have good backup in that position that seems pretty clear if you read the whole thing and not just take one post out of a convo
- Habitants98

maybe if he was being doubled shifted and it was late in the period when the goals came but it was not the case he was fresh off an intermission rest, on both goals the boston centre walked right in like it was a free play and both scored.

It has nothing to do with Plek having a better faceoff percentage, or the lack of depth at centre, did Boston score with any of the other 3 centres for Montreal on the ice?

Montreal did lose because they did not score more than 1 goal, so your one post was correct but the 3-5 about faceoffs are null to the reason

exactly.

like back in the day when the penalty boxes were next to the home bench. a home ice advantage still allowed in NCAA.

should not be in the NHL. a visiting team should not be subjected to having a team member not be actually sitting with his team. even if it is a backup goalie.
