Has Garrison been properly set up for a one timer once this season? The guy scored 16 goals last year and these idiot coaches have yet to design a powerplay that uses his big shot. - hertzman
Until Tanev's goal, the Sedins have not really used their point men much so far. That's a sign (to me) of how far behind they are right now in terms of 'game shape'. When they get going, they'll start to use the points more and Garrison will produce (if AV lets him on the ice). |

Overreact much?
It was a complement for a guy who hasn't played a whole season as the number one yet.
Don't have to make inferences that no one even mentioned (Schneider) - Mattjd123
A decent mid tier goalie is a compliment??? U dont get many compliments do ya?
Schneiders never been a starter for a full season either, but ian has claimed his greatness many times. And called him elite.
Dont be so ignorant

I am happy the Oilers can actually play with the Canucks now. Once Kesler and Booth are back could be a different story, but I think the Oilers should still be able to compete. Looking forward to the rivalry renewed.
And yes, good comeback, one apiece now |

Du8nyk is a mid-tier goalie, he's never going to be an elite goalie, he's your Fuhr to your Coffey (J. Shultz) to your Messier (Hall) to your Gretzky (RNH) to your Kurri (Eberle). Seriously though, you guys aren't going to win these types of games, if your big guns get shut down, you're in trouble because your D is young and inexperienced and you're playing several rookies/sophmores in your lineup. Give it a year or two and you'll see a huge difference, with a more poised D and your young players seasoned, the wins will come. And if Du8nyk can't hack it, Yann Davis (from what I've seen watching Oiler games on Center Ice/Gamecenter) has enough talent to be a #1 goalie. |

Ranford was elite, Fuhr just had the ability to come up big in the playoffs and the 80's Oilers could outscore just about any defensive gaffes they'd commit. Fuhr had a five hole bigger than a Thai hooker's cooch, but he did have a great glove hand that stole the Oilers games, especially against the Flames back when the Flames actually were relevant. |

82-89 Regular seasons, watch them, I will grant you that in the playoffs he was money, but if Edmonton didn't score more than 5 goals a game, they were in trouble.
EDIT: So does that make Chris Osgood, Anti Niemi, Cam Ward, Dwayne Roloson(sp?), and Nikolai Khabibulin elite? All 5 of them had great playoffs, but are average to below average in the regular season. |

Lou stopped the penalty shot, Dubnyk let in a weak shot late to tie the game. |

? He kept the oil in it for half that game. Wtf are u talking about?
But schneider in comparison is an elite starter of course??
You're objective opinions are so refreshing. Thanks for ur thoughts - hugefemale dog77
and dont take Esplen seriously. Hes already pegged Corrado to "be in the mix for the 2018 Olympics". Hes a more subtle Cloutier.
Good game Nucks. We're no longer an easy two points. |
