Funny how everything comes full circle.... Flames fans love to focus on the past when it comes to Edm. Love to focus on the future when it comes to Next Sat and whether the will beat Van.... yet refuse to live in the now... you ARE in last place.... - TSTER
We focus on the past? really? every time you are corned ya'll come back with...how many cups do we have? Talk about living in the past. Over 20yrs now. Fact is you were probably an itch in your pappy's nut sac last time they won squat. |

If you want to hold on to one / two / three wins against select teams for the year you go for it. I am pretty pleased with my GM. Signed J Schultz, traded for N Schultz traded for Fistric... Good moves for a GM who you think is useless.... If Feaster was as good as you obviously think he is, why are the Flames in last place? Don't bother answering... the Flames are an outstanding success because they beat Edm for their only win this year.
Preparing for your second rant Kevin. For goodness sakes don't have a heart attack while writing. - TSTER
Dont flatter yourself buddy that I would get a heart attack ranting at you
Glad you are happy with your GM. & you twit, Flames beating the Oil is quite the regular thing for the past how many years. Now go play on Calgary Trail. |

I think the best fit for Iggy will be Pitt. No idea what they have for prospects but the downside is their first will be like a 2nd. - whipper334
Yeah but the only trade I think Iggy will go for will be to a contender, so if its a late 1st, it will probably be a pretty good NHL ready prospect into his ELC. Morrow & Pitts 1st would actually be pretty good return for Iggy as a rental. Problem is, if would probably love playing with Sid & resign & then that value isnt as great. |

I have not heard this, but I will look into it
According the Nick Cotsonika - Flames insist Iginla is staying
...take it for what its worth. - Colin Dambrauskas
Well if there is no extension by March 25th, well lets just not think about that. I really dont think Iggy would pull a Sundin or Brad Richards. |

yea that's about all you guys have going for you. I love how Flames fans think they have a deep prospect pool and a chance at making a cup run still, and the fact they actually like the way they've been drafting... Funny thing is I'm acutally extremely happy with the direction the Flames are taking their team, and the poopty ass players they've been drafting, and if I'm happy with it you'd think Flames fans wouldn't be.... |

Of course most people on here are calling for the Flames to re-build but that fact seems to escape you. Who on here is talking about a cup run ? The discussion is about where we'd like to see Iggy go. |

Everything needn’t be taken literal.
In general it’s the crutch Oiler fan clings to.

my friends that i talk to in person all still believe that the Flames can still potentially win a stanley cup with their current roster.... and the fact that most the posters on here are ok with the moves being made and the lowsy contracts being signed to "compete" to me means you think you still have a shot.... otherwise you would want a full rebuild... just my opinion |

I don't think it at all. Fact of the matter is 2004 was a case of catching lightning in a bottle as it was for Oilers the next year.
No realistic educated chance of a cup run in Calgary. We know that.
Not for a long time. Only way is if all the planets and stars line up and 29 other teams don't play that year.
Much work to be done in Cowtown
The fact there is a belief up north that you all are so much further ahead and are doing things the "proper" way is also a myth.
Calgary has finished higher than Edmonton for the last 8yrs straight. Calgary has beaten Edmonton like a drum in that time. Calgary has NEVER been in a lottery pick position. EVER!
Until that changes, and it very well may in the near future, you are no further ahead than the Flames. |

No team should "want" a full rebuild. The Oilers, Penguins, Chicago, etc were forced into it. Most teams like to rebuild or retool if you will on the run. Is it any quicker, probably not but to blow it up so you finish last ala the Oilers is futile. |

We won't make it. Our game against the Avs cemented my belief on that. - doon
I think you guys are a top 2 D man and a goalie away from contending. Dubnyk will be a very good goalie but isn't quite there yet IMO. |

I think our size up front is our biggest concern. We need a "Lucic" type player. |

and that's what makes Flames fans (not all of them) donkeys in my mind, yes you've done better than us, but we've both done (frank) ALL, so what you've been the better team out of two poopty teams for the last while, we have a ridiculous amount of talent and potential.. you guys still look like the same god damn team with a few different plugs and a lot older.... But if being the better poopty team is all it takes to keep you happy then good for you i guess. I'll be wathcing tons of playoff hockey in the not too distant future while your team continues to fight for 8th |

Thats where you're wrong, since Feaster came into the fold we have actually got younger. But don't let facts get in the way of your trolling.
