I'm sure the Flames will make the playoffs sometime in the next 20 years, by then Jankowski will be the best player in the league
- SpoiledByOil

so by the Oilers logic you need to Shiit the bed every year to make your team improve? the Oilers fan base has good reason to be excitied but until you crawl out of the septic end of the league at the end of the season, it means fk all. we have no illusion about winning the cup... we want to compete and correct the mistakes of Sutters past. Feaster isn't the greatest GM but at least he's willing to make a move...

you're facts support my argument, but you two idiots are too (frank)ing stupid to comprehend it.

I'm glad getting younger is all it takes to make you happy, too bad you aren't getting any better..... so stupid

The Blackhawks were $hit for 11-12 years, not sure the Oilers want to follow that model, although they are almost half way there.

Pittsburgh was only bad for 3-4 years, but got lucky with good drafts, especially in 05 when they won the lottery for the cancelled season and got the best player since Gretzky...Also, I don't remember a "blow up" with them, their players just got old and retired or re-signed elsewhere.

please tell how fun it is watching your team get old, your prospect pool deplete, and your gm draft poopty ass players so you can finish outside of the playoffs yet again??? calling me stupid?? haha oh the irony
- SpoiledByOil

Feaster has done a nice job of drafting so far.

The Flames plan is to rebuild while remaining competitive and entertaining. From a fans perspective this is the best plan possible considering the amount people pay to go to the games. Completely tanking for 6 straight years (going on 7 probably) is pretty gutless by ownership considering how much the charge for "entertainment". It's not all about playoffs, it's more about playing meaningful games late in the regular season. At least it's exciting, at least there's a reason to watch, at least there is something on the line. Watching the oilers the past 6 years is like making a farmers bet.

It just amazes me how far our standards as fans of this team continue to fall.

You bet....love it. Where did you get it?

I think next year we could see some Feaster prospects come in.

Gaudreau, Wotherspoon, Granlund, Broissoit (maybe) should all have shots at making the team.

Will Gaudreu be able to make it from the Shire in time?

Seriously thougb throwing a goaltender straight from junior into the NHL is probably the best way to ruin them. I love Broissoit, and if the Flames are high on him they'll be patient. Loom for Ramo way before Broissoit.

Ya I was thinking MAYBE, if the Flames did trade Kipper, which they probably won't, next year would be a Ramo #1 Brossoit #2 combo.

The only way I see this happening is if Ramo comes over after the KHL season and impresses enough to give him the reigns next year. It's a definite long shot.

Nice Gaudreau joke
