No clue who little Nicky is UG...but even if I was pathetic enough to have alter egos on an internet forum, I wouldn't unleash them both at the same time to try to prove an argument I lost well over a year ago. - Pen15

I thought RC was giving ice time to players that earned it, but I guess not. |

The game was pretty choppy. Thought the Leafs came out strong in the first. A few things bothered me though. McClement was called for the snow job in the second but why was the one by Tim Brent in the first, not called? Bozak goal should have counted and the hit on LaRose was not a penalty IMO. Still the Canes deserved this win. we lost momentum and let the game get away with poor choices. |

Yes, but you need depth for that to work.

Burke's job was as safe as Wilson was a good coach. - Two_For_Truth
That was not even close to a coherent response that had ANYTHING to do with the point...
Didn't take long for you to start deflecting responses into circular arguments that have been had a million times. |

Has the general feeling about Phaneuf changed yet or does everyone still think he is an All-Star? - Beatle_john
He has the lowest hockey IQ among any defender who averages more than 20 minutes a game. Absolutely brain dead. |

I'd like to see him on a line with a solid defensive guy so that he can move the puck with cover and not have to worry about looking over his shoulder the entire damn game |

NBC just ripped Dion Phaneuf a new one showing how out of position he was on the winning goal. They showed how the Carolina player (Forgot who it was) waiting with the puck and drew Phaneuf who chased him.
What kills me... is this is the book on Phaneuf. He chases. Always. - Beatle_john
Dion Phaneuf is payed 6.5 million dollars, he isn't bad, it's his d partner. |

the only thing i disagreed with was breaking up the frattin kadri komarov line
i have zero issue playing them as a whole in a different role |

Gardiner is playing but isn't 100% back to where he should be yet so instead of having him screw up in the NHL, he's getting time in with the AHL.
That being said, Holzer is absolutely atrocious. Anybody who expected him to replace Schenn is out to lunch. So, Greg Millen. - Two_For_Truth
Nope, that was NEVER said by anyone.
More sarcasm. |

As respectfully as possible.. Because I'm not interested in the 30 page battle that follows this..
But since when do you care about the team doing anything that helps them win? Kindve gathered the impression that the team losing games is pretty much gravy for you. |

DAMN! I am so happy to hear that! Watching him for years in Calgary, he lost all his positional play way back then. He was far too emotional. Sure he makes good hits... but that is his job... not an extra that he should be more valued for.
I am not saying he is a complete doofus, but Burke sold him waaaaaaaaaay to high to the fans. I would like the 'C' to move on. |

Actually that's the opposite of what he needs. Phaneuf needs to stop trying to move the puck because he has no idea how to do it. Phaneuf should be the one focusing on defense and leave his offensive game to the PP. But his offensive game is another problem because he's too stupid to know that he should be shooting low and hard instead of trying to pick corners with a shot that has hurt more people than it has scored goals. |

OK, the last two games have shown, what we've seen before, last year and the year before that. Box out the Leafs, keep them to the outside and away from the net. Stay in front of them, and cut down the chances on the rush. Game over.
Tonight, the defense was so bad, that Mark Fraiser was the best defenceman on the Leafs. Maybe it's time for Nonis to go see Colorado about O'Reilly. Maybe a Kessel for O'Reilly trade makes sense. Colorado has a dearth of good centers, so maybe we could pry him away. It's also time to start shopping Phaneuf. From now until the trade deadline, Nonis should take trade offers for him. If there's something good, make the deal. Time to start looking towards the draft and write this baby off. No Gardiner, no Lupul, so we're already shorthanded on the talent level going forward. |

Phaneuf's doing fine, stick a Ryan Suter beside him he'd be a 50-60 point d-man again. But he's got Kostka. dem be the breaks....ps hows weber doing without suter? |
