Up until tonight I was willing to give RC the benefit of the doubt. Tonight, not happening. The worst part is dude, the second I saw Kadri give the puck away twice in the 2nd period, I knew what was coming. Didn't matter that Grabo did it like 4 times before that, or that bozak and Kessel were doing the same things, I know Kadri's line was going down for it. Bullpoop. - mykokes
Kadri and Frattin are the only guys creating offense and they get crappy ice time. Game after game after game, they are stapled to the bench and yet they're the only ones producing. |

Kadri's line has easily been the best line on the ice.. Probably 6 of the 9 games. Him and frattin are the only ones pushing any kind of pace when they're on the ice.
They're deserving of top line minutes. I bet they could do serious damage with JVR on the other wing to. |

They got a period to show they're here to play... The leafs in the first is what we need here, the leafs from the second...? If they show up its gonna be a looooong third - Dozzer
NBC just ripped Dion Phaneuf a new one showing how out of position he was on the winning goal. They showed how the Carolina player (Forgot who it was) waiting with the puck and drew Phaneuf who chased him.
What kills me... is this is the book on Phaneuf. He chases. Always. |

Much better to have kept Wilson and lose games 7-1 instead of 1-0. - Two_For_Truth

Right, because Carolina knows how to play defense amazingly well. It's not like half of their team fell down a dozen times each during the first period that gave the Leafs a ridiculous amount of chances right? It's not like the Leafs got 40 shots on net. Nor did the Hurricanes defense give away boatloads of pucks in their own zone. - Two_For_Truth
Overall as a team, you have to admit the Canes are overall better, more skilled team...Both Staals, Skinner, and Semin are pretty much 4 players that are better than any player on the Leafs. Reimer had to face better quality shooters tonight. On top of the fact our defense completely sucks. |

Was really only a matter of time before your complete lack of an argument had to resort to personal attacks. Quicker than usual too. - Two_For_Truth
Not at all...I'm just waiting for a year long answer to a very simple question...
What's sad is you have to let one of your alter egos do your battling for you... |

whats bothering me is when you listen to carlyle during the pressers the reoccuring theme from him is:
"if the guys will buy into the system then.."
IF
i hate when the coach says IF... usually means the players arent listening, or at least some arent. - Dozzer
Carlyle hasn't realized yet that he has a fraction of the talent he had in Anaheim. He keeps thinking that just because certain guys are suppose to be better on paper, doesn't mean they are going to work out on any given night.
Carlyle needs to take a page out of the Quenneville playbook and go with the hot hand. If Frattin and Kadri are scoring, play them. |

Sort of like RC is/was supposed to do with the Leafs?
Just waiting on the results to start kicking in...because if they don't, it quickly becomes plausible that player personnel matters...and we MIGHT not have it... - Pen15
Man, the team struggling under Carlyle to doesn't prove any kind of point like that.
He's been giving his best players 15 minutes a night.
It is very possible that both coaches were/are dumbasses. |

I can't read a Pen's fan on anything about winning when they are on record as tanking to draft Lemieux. Sure, you won the cup... sure you created a mini-Dynasty.... sure you created a string of HOF players, sure you.... what was my point again? |

Hold up, is he still down because of injury? Is he playing with the Marlies, or injured? If not injured, why the (frank) is he not with the leafs, sorry for all the questions, thanks... - ShootingSemin
Gardiner is playing but isn't 100% back to where he should be yet so instead of having him screw up in the NHL, he's getting time in with the AHL.
That being said, Holzer is absolutely atrocious. Anybody who expected him to replace Schenn is out to lunch. So, Greg Millen. |

The only long standing defense I've had for phaneuf.. Is that at least he hits people.
His game is still as garbage as it always is, but I haven't even seem him hit anyone yet this year.
There goes that defense.. |

And again, Ward faced 40 shots and has a defense that gives the puck away like candy on Halloween. In the first period alone, I saw half of their players tripping over the blueline all by themselves creating 2 on 1 chances for the Leafs. |

Been saying this for five games now and it's always the same. People didn't want to believe it because "everything is fine as long as they won the game". |
