Antropov used to do it.. A LOT of players who want infront of the net do it..
You think Lucic just stands infront and let Charas slap shot hit him? - jbold
Lucic has an idea of where Chara's shot are going to go.......no one has any idea where Neuf's shots will go. |

Anyways, first intermission they're interviewing some penguins guy |

He'd score a goal on the PP if he didn't refuse to leave the exact same lattitude and longitude night in and night out. - Tee-Dot
Yep......Time for him to find a way to score...Going to the net rather than shooting from the boards might be a plan...

I dont get why people are so surprised.
This is what happens when you have players stand infront of the net.
It's Lupul and JVR's own fault they got hit with the puck.
You don't stand infront of the net and not move when the shot it taken..
You stand infront of the net and you move if the puck is going to hit you. Its common sense. - jbold
I don't see what the issue is.
Standing in front of the net is the safest place to be if phaneuf is teeing em up. |

You missed the point.
He moves out of the way if Chara's shot is going to hit him..
Not knowing where the shot is going doesnt mean to NOT move out of the way when its going to hit you.. |

I don't mind him being a set up guy but he has too much skill to not score too.. I hope he turns out like a Crosby type player.. Im not comparing him to Sid i just mean same passing/scoring ratio.. - Arctic_AARDVARK
WHAT!!!! You think he's going to be a crosby?
Im just kidding. |

Ya Kadri is commonly compared to Ribeiro.. - Arctic_AARDVARK
Antics aside, would anybody be upset if he (Kadri) became a perennial 60-70 point guy at all? |

Except for the belly button up. Jbolds right on one aspect, I wouldn't stand there waiting for him to kill me, I'd hit the deck as soon as he got the puck. |

Everyone knows he has a hell of a release. They expect it.
Kessel is more than a shot. He has some pretty sick hands, and crazy speed. Time to use more than just the shot.. And make some things happen for himself. The coaching staff must be driven nuts. |

You act like he's the only one to miss the net.
Like I said, what is Lupul and JVR doing just standing there watching the puck come to the net?
Only an idiot would stand in the way and not move.
there's a right and wrong way to do it.. - jbold

Mind if I borrow your ban button for a few minutes to let the children have a time-out? |

For sure he is. There's accountability on both ends.
But there's zero excuses for gooning the puck at the net above the knees when two of your own players are tied up in front of the net, especially when you have as little control of your shot as phaneuf does. The coaches have got to put a clamp on it. |

Ya time for him to create a goal...How about cutting in on the net rather than shoot from the outside...
Is he really that afraid of being hit???.. |
