Can you name the Hurricanes defense?
Put the best six Canadian defenders in front of him and see the difference.
But I don't think there is too much that separates the two. Both are great goalies, just think that Ward has more experience to fall back on if and when things get tough. - Two_For_Truth
Yea he can be there to fall back on,, if Price and Fleury fail..

They should have stuck with Brodeur. If there's a goalie in the world who never has two bad games in a row under pressure, it's Brodeur. They took a huge risk by putting Luongo in net and they won in spite of that change, not because of it. - Two_For_Truth
Wrong.
Lou kept them in, dont kid yourself.
Considering Lou and Brodeur were the top two goalies on Team Canada.....I dont think putting either one was "huge" risk.

agree, or other side is I would have given it to Fleury if making a change. Fleury played Malkin/OV way more than Luongo. Knew them better.
Luongo managed not to lose the Gold, but cretainly didn't WIN it for them.

In the end, they won gold... So keeping marty in could only equal what happened...
I dont care what decisions they make. as long as it's golden.
Then I will show you the power of hindsight

Luongo is the reason why Slovakia almost upset Canada and why the Gold medal game went to overtime.

That would have been way out of left-field. Usually the back-up is pretty much promised that if a change is made, he's the guy who goes in.
