Read much?
And don't reference wins. Please don't, it's ridiculous. Unless you think Andrew Raycroft as one of the best goalies the Leafs have ever had. - prock
And 2007/2008?
Pretty sure from the start of this decade (2010) he ranks in the top 10 in every category.....maybe thats too small of a sample size? Perhaps we should revisit when he's 30 years old, in like 5 more seasons. |

Bryz can be a pretty damn good goalie. - prock
He's playing much better this time around...Thank god there's no Winter Classic this year... |

They should have blown it up two years ago when they could have pulled in a huge haul for those two... - Flyfreaky
They would still get a decent haul for them today... |

Fair enough man, I don't really have a horse in this fight, but to me Price is top 10 in the league right now. I also feel Ward is top 10, though lately everyones making an argument that he isn't. I also like Fleury. To each their own I guess. - mykokes
All three goalies are amazing. Fleury is an amazing goalie when his head is on straight. He's the weakest of the three because he can go off the tracks at times.
Ward and Price are both very solid technically and most of the time are mentally solid. Both goalies are easily in the top 10.
But you have to watch them play to know it which some people don't do. |

In an entirely different era, where you can't make direct comparisons like that. Luongo was top 10, every year. Carey Price is nowhere near that.
Jose Theodore has nearly identical stats to Patrick Roy. Surely we aren't going to start to call Jose Theodore one of the best in history? - prock
pre lockout there was clutch an grab, less PP's and less scoring.
If you're going to compare era's - Price is playing in an offense oriented area, while Luongo in Florida was more defensive (referring to the league overall).

Fleury is up there. - prock
Agreed, probably the two most overrated. |

Ahh, hyperbole.
That's the only way you can make your argument have any merit. - prock
Your blind hatred of Price is obvious. If he was a Leaf, you would love him but because he plays for the Habs, you hate him without any sound reason or logic.
If it wasn't for Price in the opening game of the season, the Leafs would have won 8-0. And it's like that most nights. |

Well then, that must explain why save %s, on average, have gone significantly up since the last lockout, right? |

I don't hate him. He hasn't proven a damn thing to make him a top goalie in the NHL. Nothing. |

It's obvious to most people that they should have done it two years ago but now it has to be obvious to the Flames that they are dead in the water.
Kiprusoff to Washington or Tampa Bay and Iginla to Pittsburgh. Done. |

A half season as a rookie. Not unusual. Unless you think Reimer is destined to be an elite NHL goalie too?
And revisiting in 5 years. Habs fans have been saying that for 5 years already. This Vezina winning goalie they keep predicting has never shown his face. |

He has a violent and illogical hatred for Price.
All he needs to know is that he wears a Habs jersey and it's enough for him to blindly believe Price is worthless. - Two_For_Truth
no, that only happens if he gets a leaf jersey |

If you actually take a look at his numbers, they're not that impressive, he's certainly not a top 10 goaltender. |

Gagners 9 points in 8 games look terrible once you take 8 points away.
