And if you're going to be ridiculous, and list his stats through 7 games, I'm sure you must agree that Dan Ellis is a better goalie? Craig Anderson?

Miller getting older. Kipper 5 years ago I'd agree. Again too old. He's got a year or 2 left tops.

Which is why I stated, he was capable of becoming one of the Leafs bounceback players, meaning he sucked the season before. Understandable, considering his injury, and having not played a whole season, sometimes players can regain their form, not too far fetched. Like I said, stating that he has the potential to become the 2nd best centerman on the Leafs behind Grabovski, wasn't saying much. His competition was Connolly and Bozak, not exactly lighting the world on fire themselves, and when you're the 2nd best centerman on the Leafs, apparently it means you're the first line center, because Grabovski for whatever reason isn't put there. Understand he needs to develop chemistry with Kessel, but they should atleast give it a try under Carlyle.

he's one of the few reason the Habs haven't been the Oilers the last 4 years.

Like Luongo in Florida - he's the only reason they weren't absolutely horrendous.

I don't follow how you can sit there and make excuses.... his sv% sucks because he plays for a crap team. Luongo had a top 10 sv% every year from 2000/01 to 06/07.

You laugh. At Kiprusof? Calgary had a worse roster than the Habs last year, and Kipper nearly got them in the playoffs. Price got them to.... a 3rd overall pick.

Playing in MTL (or TO) kinda distorts goalie stats.. If you have ever watched him play you would see how he never seems to panic or get out of position.. I gave you stats, since we are talking about RIGHT NOW.. i gave you RIGHT NOW stats.. And seeing how those aren't good enough for you i don't see the point in discussing this further.

Well, it was never "the Leafs". It was "who would you take". If it's building a team, and you want to eliminate goalies that are about to retire, then sure, Price moves up the list. As do a bunch of goalies. In fact, anyone under 28.

So, if you want to argue, "he's the best out there when you remove all the best goalies in the league", then go ahead.

Luongo's SV% with Panthers was practically identical to what Price's has been with the Habs...
