My client was coerced into signing this contract/waiver, because he's been playing this sport his entire life, it's his only way he knows to make a living, and once PEDs were sanctioned, he had no choice but to sign.

And whos fault is that? That would be like some one dropping out of school in grade 8 to farm. But his dad lost the farm and he complains that he doesn't have any other skills to make a living.. Too (frank)ing bad. You should have educated yourself. Why do athletes get special treatment?

So even with a complete and utter check mate, you will not step back and admit you were wrong? Thanks for ironically proving my point about opinions not being equal.

NO man, i'll give you credit, you are doing some critical thinking about observation, i'll give you that. But your idea that only statistics are provable was laughable. Beyond that, just to save yourself embarrassment, you probably should have just stopped talking when I pointed out what step one of the Scientific Method was observation.

You know about the Scientific Method? The thing that every facet of your day to life is predicated on?

That won't matter legally. Player A is one of the top NBA players, makes 8 digits a year, and all of a sudden can't make the team because everyone else is on HGH and jumping out of the gym. Is he going to sign the waiver and risk his future health so he can get on the drugs and continue to excel? Hell yeah. Then when health issues do occur (related or not), the league is absolutely (frank)ed.

Law in theory and law in practice are miles apart.

Lawyers don't care about clear-cut, black or white, right or wrong answers. They don't even care to find out what those answers are most of the time. It is not in their best interests to find definitive answers.

Almost all of law is navigating muddy maters: sifting through technicalities, finding ways to "interpret" signed contracts...

Then there is the entirely more complex world of politics to consider: an entire generation of athletes start dropping dead like flies at age 45 from years of abuse to their bodies from substances known to have real risks to human health and you'd better believe the lawmakers would step in.

I know the things you're talking about... Which makes one of us that understands, and one that's trying to look smart.

And let me tell you, you are not doing a good job of it.

I think it's tea time.

Dude, don't go full U_G.

I like a lot of what you say, but you could be so much more effective with a less combative tone.

i find the best chirp around here is always "UG" related.

like it actually is the worst thing! to sound like UG, to argue like UG, to bring up points the way UG does.

lol i guess thats what happens after 40 years of living in mommy and daddy's basement, just ask Bushkorn!

What's Aquaman Jim so upset about anyway?

Anyone here think Kessel has played as bad as his stat sheet shows over the first 8 games? I think he should go write strongly word letters to Damo Cox and Steve Simmons instead of picking arguments in here.

this post is so wrong.

How can they educated himself if they lose the farm when he's in grade 8.

I get what you're saying but the analogy you are using is just wrong or you're heartless.

I don't see them stepping in when people are blowing their brains out because of concussion related issues. It's a known risk, how is that even arguable? When im working and i know what im doing is potentially harmful or even deadly i have the right to refuse. Its my right.. No one is forcing anyone to take PED's.. I understand your argument and i think it all comes down to who has a better lawyer.

He's been alight, but that doesn't mean he should be off the hook. He's paid to score goals.

In totally useless news but interesting;

You learn something new everyday about one of my favourite bands, the Beatles, this is interesting, on this day in 1968 while recording the Let it Be album, the band needed female vocals for the harmony - and as none were available in the studio they invited two fans from outside the studio to contribute the line "nothing's gonna change our world" from the Across the Universe song.

This is about to change soon. There are number of lawsuits before the courts now because of concussions in the NFL. Its only going to take one win before all the leagues start to act.

People aren't agreeing with him and his superior opinion.
