Thanks mang, yeah totally! lol

Liquor before the game helps keep the wallet closed. Sometimes you can even sneak a beer in your jacket to get you through the first

Nice to see Kulemin shooting the puck again. Him and Nazeeem are tied for 3rd in shots on goal with 18.

Poor Kessel and can't buy a goal with his entire 27 million dollar contract

- t_leafs21

kessel is just a matter of time... i bet he'll get a dirty goal and snap out of it

and yeah, last time i was at the ACC my buddy scored two gold tickets at centre ice.. so in fairness i bought all the beer.. one large each per period and i was a hundred bucks in the hole lol

but the ticket was free and it was valued at 212$ so i considered it a very fair trade off

His hits and offensive production is down now, guys like him play the game a certain way and it does have an effect long term. I knows its a short sample, look at the paths of Umberger and Morrow.
- mykokes

All UFA's are overpaid, that is the norm, yes if you can get him at a half decent price for 3 years, it is worth it, imo. We have no one in the organization at the moment to step in except Biggs and maybe Devane (grit and size), Ross and Rupert are agitators.

His age is a little concerning, but he fits a need to a tee.

Who was the last 20/50 player we had who put up 100+ PIMs and a truckload of hits?

- Leeman4Gilmour

I like Clowe, man. I just don't think he'd be a great fit in Toronto. I think he'd want to goto a contender, and he'd fit well on a lot of contenders. He's going to get a good pay day too, and not sure he's going to hold up to a longish contract.

Can we at least all agree that Carlyle is 1000x the coach Wilson was? It's so evident when you watch the team play.

I felt like we would have won Saturday night's game if midway through the third period, the Leafs' coach had said "Let's go."

It really would have made the difference.

I do agree that he's really conservative, and sometimes waits too long to let the troops fly. I love how he actually tried to get Kessel away from Chara all night, and Kessel still ended up with a good amount of ice-time. I like his match-up game, even if he's a bit obsessed with it.

So let me get this straight: you have access to a hockey cloning machine, and you place an order for 7 hockey players for the Leafs, and none of them are centres?

Please leave.

Immediately.

I'd order 23 Datsyuks, the other team would never touch the puck

Definitely, but I will give Wilson some credit:

He was good at getting offensively-minded players to reach their potential. He worked one-on-one with Grabo to get him to be effective in the face-off circle, and really brought out his skill. He got Kulemin to be a 30 goal guy, revived Lupul's career, and made MacArthur look like a legit 2nd liner.

But when it came to team-play... damn did he suck at putting all the pieces together.

Fine the age thing is legit and he probably would get 4 x 4.5 which we'd all female dog about in 2 years.

Can we take a stab at Chris Stewart. The Leafs need some PF's that remind us of #17 rather than #80.

Here's a handy little secret for my fellow beer drinkers at the ACC:

If you look into the time keeper's box, a little yellow light comes on whenever the next stoppage in play will neccessitate a TV timeout.

So as soon as you see that light, get ready to make a bolt for the washroom and beer stand. When the whistle goes, the light goes red, and off you go!

A guy with questionable upside, a 6'4 ECHLer, a guy with a long way to prove he wasn't just benefiting from elite players his whole junior career and a midget

How about Federov?

They seriously tried him at defense, and he probably would have been considered for Norris trophies at that position.

I like RC ....but he blew the match up game on that Boston goal. He sent the 5 slowest Leafs over the boards which made a routine rush down the ice turn into an odd man rush.

Send him a memo that if the Steckel line is on the ice ...Fraser-Franson can't be.
