They should have turned off the lights and rebooted the whole thing. Apparently, that helps.

Can't help but think the game would have been at least a bit more exciting had that 1-1 goal not been disallowed. It was all clutch and grab, old school trap after that.

As for the Pens, I'm not sure who to believe. I'd like to read the book mentioned in this article, though:

I've got a much better book for you:

What age should I start my kid skating at? Would you recommend?

I was born in Toronto, but moved to California at age 1 and didnt move back until I was 7. I didnt learn how to skate until I was 10, and was way behind kids my age at that point, so I dont have my own experience to guy by as to the best age to learn to skate and play.

I started 4 days before my 2nd birthday, My kids, now in their 20's were also on skates at 2..

Sabres GM Darcy Regier is looking to acquire help at both ends of the ice.

It's believed Regier is in the market for a gritty, defensive-minded forward, who can play on the club's second or third line, and a shutdown defenseman.

Scouts from 18 different teams took in Buffalo's 4-3 home loss to the Panthers yesterday, and while several clubs were keeping an eye on Florida, many were there to scout the Sabres.

Oh man, thats an emotionally gutting song. Lost my dad two years ago this April. Ive cried every damn day to this day. Cancer is devastating to not just the victim...

I hear you, as a man and father....I dont even want to think it, amen.

- systemtool

I am sorry to hear that.

As I get close to 50, I am becoming constantly aware that I am one of only two guys in my circle of friends whose father is still alive. It is getting scary.

I didn't start skating until my paperweight season, lol, they stuck me in net, my dad took me to power skating lessons, a little past the mid point of the season I was one of the best skaters on the team, I liked playing goal so much, I played right through to bantam.

Do you consider yourself a tender?

We have so much snow down, I can't get out of the company parking lot to go home for lunch..

Frankin snow, it is scrapping on the bottom of the car.

I know the ins and outs of goaltending, went to many camps, including ones with NHL goalies through the years.

Growing up I got to meet some legends through these camps, Plante, Parent, Palmateer and Bower.

Canes, Caps, Jets, Habs.

I know it might seem too early to talk about "make or break" games, but if this team is to have a shot at the playoffs this year, they need 6 points this week.

- Leeman4Gilmour

6 points would be nice. until the leafs play a consistant .500+ hockey on home ice i'm not getting my hopes up. 9 of the 14 games in March are in our barn.

Carlyle says Gunnarsson has a hip problem. Had an MRI and there's no muscular damage. Needs rest and treatment so he's out.
