Really? Stafford has had 1 good season (stat wise) but even that was padded by all his hat tricks. He has underperformed his entire career. Myers has regressed every year. How did he earn his huge contract?

Darcy sucks. He's made some decent moves, he's made some bad moves. He hasn't made a move that's made a difference in a long time.

are you new to watching the Sabres.. They do the same thing every year. Does multiple months of crap play followed by a mad dash to get to 9th place not piss you off? The goal of the team is not to just miss or make the playoffs... It is to win the Stanley Cup. and you can't honestly think this team has a snowballs chance in hell at winning.

A cup is a cup. And I have been for firing ruff since the 1st round loss to the flyers a couple years back. His time is up and a new fresh face is needed. I'm sick of watching this crap on the ice. At least with a new coach we can see if it was the coaches fault or if its actually that the players we have aren't good enough.

This situation mirrors Bill Cowher of the Pittsburgh Steelers, although Cowher did finally win one.

I think Ruff did "ruin" Vanek to an extent over the past few years. Vanek finally got some things off his chest at the end of last season and is a better for it. I think that took a big weight off his shoulders

Well thats whats wrong with this league. 50pt guys shouldn't be worth 4m! The only reason I wanted him on the team during the summer was to try and get parise . Since that didn't work out we should have traded him while he was worth something.

hopefully now it will change with the (most recent) lockout. but 3-4 years from now when the cap again inflates, it will be the same crap. we will think people are vastly overpaid when they are pretty much at value in relation to how high the salary cap has gone.

if 50 point players didnt make 4mil a year then 70 point players would be making 10mil a year.
