why not? Roy wasn't afraid to push the limits of the game and I adored him for that.

We all know the likelihood of Ruff getting fired (ESP in season) are pretty slim...
What I could reasonably see happening though,
Is Ruff being moved into the front office after the season...

Ruff definitely has a spot somewhere in the organization

As far as Regier goes...
He has been absolutely killing it at the draft
And even moves like Regehr that haven't worked out...
It's not like we gave up anything to get him, and don't forget, we also got tht 2nd rounder that helped up move up to get Girgensons

It's tough to make those Blockbuster deals that we all seem to want

I disagree, there is talent on our back end, the defensive breakdowns aren't a result of not being tough, it's a lack of coaching. They are all confused all of the time, everyone was standing around yesterday like they had no clue what to do.

Minnesota could be a possible destination.. .I know I have heard that they want to unload Danny Heatley's massive contract but I don't want anything to do wit him... I would rather ask for Clutterbuck or Setoguchi back...

I think EDM is another realistic landing place for Stafford. Stafford's uncle is their equipment manager.

4mil for stafford when people like fleischmann and versteeg were getting 4.5m at the same time was a steal

Heatley has been pretty strong to start the year from what I have seen and heard but that contract is a little much but I have often wondered what he would look like reunited with Kovy but I wouldn`t want to give a boat load just to entertain my thoughts of them killing it together Kovy has been passing alot more this year and now that Parise isn`t here anymore there really isn`t anyone else to distract teams away from Kovy they know the puck is coming to him for a one timer on the pp

Agreed... I think their heads have been filled with too much information on who is responsible for what area on certain formations and who has free reign to attack an offensive player when certain motions and passing has occurred. I also don't think they trust who they are on the ice with to be where they are supposed to be.

I know Miller doesn't trust a D-man to cover a passing lane to save his life..

Myers at 5? After two seasons of being average? I would understand if it was right after his rookie year but thats not the case.

And I would much rather have those guys you mentioned over Stafford.

I like the way Philly handles their roster. I know it hasn’t paid off, but they’re never content with making the playoffs. There not worried about making a bad trade. They target a player they want and then go and get him. Sure it has backfired with Carter & Richards winning the cup last year. Once again not saying this is the right way, just the way I liked to see a team ran. Sick of the way Darcy runs this team, does just enough not to lose his job, ala Gaustad for a 1st. Great trade, but will never help this team win.

At least you can count on Holmgren to go for it. Now obviously we don't know what is going on behind closed doors with Darcy, maybe he is desperately trying to trade dead weight. The fact that this is such a predictable front office is the problem, along with many other things lol. I feel like they want to be a Detroit dynasty so bad that they just get delusional about trading prospects. In my opinion winning back to back Stanley Cups or even multiple Stanley Cups in a set number of years is basically impossible in today's NHL. I'm honestly to the point where I hope they are at the bottom of the standings so maybe we can see a firesale at the deadline.

He looks like he needs a rest... he is flat footed.. cement footed.. whatever you want to call him.. I think he played his last game in Austria... jumped on an overnight plane.. bum ankle and all.. then showed up for training camp to start that very next day.. if not jet lag then just exhaustion has to have some piece of that puzzle.
