I hate Philly as much as you do.. but you have to look at where players could be available and who is at the bottom of the pools right now... Read is cheap right now and they don't have the money to extend him... they are one of the few teams that would foam at the mouth for defensive help like we have.

Yes.. he does have a nice cap hit.. but he is a UFA soon and the Flyers don't have hte money to resign him to another sweet Simmonds or Voracek type deal.. They mind as well get talent to fill other voids.

Varlamov can't hold Millers jock, Miller isn't the problem he's just part of it. Darcy isn't making any deals so this has to be fixed from within.

I am a large Miller supporter but I also just have to look at dollar signs... I think that we have the talent to be a 6 seed or better but the voice from the top is not there right now.. they don't want to play for him... they don't trust him...

100% correct he won't make a move just to make a move, he never panics and he won't start now why would he? he's got 100% backing from the owner as does the coach.

Sulzer was brutal yesterday besides the awful goal Theodore let in. 2 games in a row he has gift wrapped breakaway's for the opposing team, not to mention on the Campbell PP goal he just looked silly. Myers, Ehrhoff, and Brennan were again just non factors, Myers let's a guy step right around him while Hoff can't clear the front. Weber looked ok again but he does every year until about his 10th game and then we see why he is annually our 7th defenseman. Leopold just needs to go

No I don't think so either.... Vanek, Pommer, and Miller are all UFAs after next season... At that point I bet 1 or MAYBE 2 will come back..

Ennis and Stafford have become the new Luke Adam, Leo, and Sekera trade in every day talk...

If Ruff is still the coach next year I guarantee Vanek will walk after the 13/14 season.....which will be quite the blow to hockey heaven, maybe Terry will finally wake up after that

Darcy needs to wake up and smell the coffee. This is not a playoff team. There are 5 or 6 impact players in the draft. Rebuild time, period. Unload some contracts pick top 5, fire Ruff. They won't though
