Well, this is one of those stories that I heard from a trusted friend who was working with the Sens a few years back. Sports management program through one of the universities. Basically, his job description entailed answering the phone when the bar called, saying that Redden had fallen off the bar stool again and was all done for the night. Booze, hookers, coke. He and Schubert were quite the Derek Roy impersonators, apparently. So my friend and another intern had to get them home safely.

Might have a lot to do with redden's performance for the Rags.

me too. i'm starting to wonder if he's the next eric johnson, and in this case, we already gave him the next contract, whereas johnson was making alright money. being hindered with a player that never lives us to his potential but is paid like he's on his way, at this point, is kind of like having a johnson/redden hybrid, which really f***s your franchise over for a while.

Upsetting but could be injury related and his confidence has to be quite low. Can't help either with so few days of practice between games.

Ya, well if you read theoren fleury's book, some of the big stars get this treatment from their owners. A lot of the Sens had problems.

Look at dany heatley! From another friend, the reason he's not in Ottawa anymore is because he was screwing around with a big time hells angel and was told if he didn't leave town it would be "very bad" for him.

Getzlaf and overrated bum? your going to far on that one, If i'm not mistaken he was hurt last year and the ducks weren't that good. They had an off year but calling him that is off base IMO, 20 teams would love to have that guy and the Sabres should be one of them but from what was posted by Homer they aren't. And that is where the problem is with Darcy.

one move i would love to see would be stafford for Magnus Paajarvi from edmonton.

they don't seem to know what to do with magnus and i dunno it seems kind of like a hodgson/kassian trade in that both teams could benefit swapping guys out.

But I'm not going to pay a guy 7mil a year (and that's what he'll likely get) when he's NEVER scored 25 goals in a season

He's not a goal scorer. Tough. Leader. 6'4" 220. Pretty durable. He's got sick skills. I've watched quits a few late night Ducks games over the past four years and some of the behind the back/blind passes he can make are crazy. He fights too.

27 year old power forward with 7-8 NHL seasons with a Cup under his belt. He brings a LOT to the table.

He's a valuable player. I would give up a lot for him if I were GM for a day.

Hoff hurt.
