Sekera aside from the 1 play against Toronto has been all around solid. He has always been a very good 2nd pairing defenseman, it's when he is expected to be the number 1 guy he struggles. Kind of like everyone else on the team. He was really good last year up until Myers and Ehrhoff were out at the same time - sbroads24
Yup. I say that all the time too. He's perfect in the 3/4 role. He panics in the 1/2. I think Ehrhoff has played fine too, considering that he's getting the most time against the top opposition. Those players are going to force him into mistakes once in a while. Keep Sekera on the 2nd pairing. I actually think you could put Myers there with him. The two of them looked really good together last year. Myers played his best hockey paired with Sekera last year.

Ryan O'Reilly only had one more point that season - homiedclown
How they are just sitting on their hands with him is baffling to me... THey are in such need for offense at this point it is not even funny... But they aren't willing to sign maybe their 2nd best player on their roster to a long term deal...

At his salary he is a bargain IMO. A lot of people hate him and I don't get it. He is not making the mental mistakes Myers is and he is a phenomenal skater.

I'd say Ehroff, Weber and Sulzer have been the best. Only three D-men with a positive +/-, Sulzer leading them with a +5. Heck, he was +1 in that Montreal game while playing 21 minutes. Only Sabre on the plus side in that game.
I think we desperately need to split up Myers and Leopold. They are a -6 and -8 respectively and have a combined 1g and 1a.
