I think that seems to be the general consensus but I just don’t see Regier or Pegula having the stones to send him packing. A very sad situation indeed, a great owner who will spend money but just can’t get out of the way of his Blue & Gold childhood memories.

they can't make a move this season.. too short of a season and all you would get is one of the assistant coaches already here. if they make a change it has to be at the end of the year and bring in someone from the outside.

Miller, Vanek and Myers for Ovi, Backstrom and Holtby.
- mhp

Backstrom I really like... but not Ovi or Holtby...

if we trade anyone.. please let it not be Hodge, Vanek, or Pommer.

Absolutely agree... All Pegula has done is provide the players a nice locker room........ He sucks as an owner.....

Miller for Hiller.

We don't need a goalie, we need a center that is big, fast and can win some faceoffs... We have a lot of young D-men as prospects.... some teams out there need D-men....

I haven't minded Sekera and Sulzer as lower pairings... Sekera has been just as good as Ehrhoff if you ask me...
- JVince11

Sekera I agree...I forgot about him.

But Sulzer...meh

I hear that there are a LOT of those for sale on the trading block... no other team wants them besides us.

Ehrhoff is a 1-2 D-man...

Weber is a 3-4 D-man...

Sekera is a 3-4 D-man...

Sulzer is a 5-6th d-man...

Leo, Regehr, and Brennan have been press box D-men..

Yeah, sadly the only options are either this team, as is, has some kind of epiphany and gets something going or just gives us another abysmal season. Either way no changes will be made this year.

I am sure they do but not many teams have a overload of your D-men prospects like the Sabres. We are not going to get a top line center but there are others out there that can bring some help to our center position Someone that can win face-offs and maybe get you 15 - 20 goals.

Agreed...it's just sad that Sulzer is generally our 3rd to 4th best dman.

Not getting too far with that.

this D has been horrendous...Weber and Erhoff have been decent and that's about it.
- Whatnot78

They need to do something.. but i am not sure bringing him up to play with this group of underachieving lazy sacks of crap is going to be good for his development.

The point isn't to play with the lazy sacks of crap.. it is to replace the lazy sacks of crap...

Trading Leopold for a new pair of glasses for our Zamboni driver... would open up a spot on our blue line.

i think the best thing to happen right now is to remove Ruff.. it very well could be all the motivation this team needs at least offensively. defensively they are screwed
