In other news. Dimitry Kalinin was named one of the KHL's players of the month.

Believe it is new for this year, in 11-12 he is listed as Director of Amateur Scouting Kevin Devine
- JCSabs06

I was watching the Beyond Blue and Gold that was on before the game on Saturday and noticed it. Wasn't sure when it happened. I knew that he was in charge of the Scouting department though, so I was a little surprised. I don't have a problem with it, because I like the way they've drafted recently.

Just missed Rupp.

Or maybe dodged him, depending on your perspective.

I have a few friends that do that for the state. Its a good gig with the benefits and the overtime and such. Hardest part is the first few years where they have you driving a lot. Once your past that it settles down. Good luck with whatever you choose.

That isn't the part that has me deep in thought. Work is work.

Yea in this years media guide they have him listed as Assistant GM and then the Director of Scouting is now Al McAdam.

I'm surprised they didn't make a bigger deal out of it. I don't think Regier has had an Assistant GM before.

So because the rumor is Darcy is looking to make a trade, I'll make some proposals.

to Phoenix:
Stafford, Ennis, Sekera and Leopold

to Buffalo
Hanzel and Michalek

-

to LA:
Stafford or Ennis

to Buffalo:
Stoll

-

to Dallas:
Stafford, Ennis and Sekera

to Buffalo:
Fiddler and Robidas

-

to Colorado:
Ennis and a conditional 2nd

to Buffalo:
O'Reilly

I guess that's enough for now.

I would rather keep Sekera here. He's been one of our best D men this year. It's no wonder they fell apart the other day without him. He's a huge piece back there.

Need a more physical guy here and even though I don't think Sekera is that great he has 'sick trade value'

Since I'm such a good employee I've been scouring the internet for when this happened and the best I can find is that he was still refered to as

"[one of the] members of the Sabres’ hockey department, including scouting directors Jon Christiano and Kevin Devine, spent the evening taking notes." - Buffalo News John Vogl 10/3/13

Heh, I was just thinking about this earlier today. I would support keeping Devine in a front-office realignment. Maybe even a promotion to Assistant GM.

On his Friday afternoon appearance with Schopp on WGR, Darcy mentioned Devine in passing and described him as "assistant GM and still oversees amateur scouting."

and Finally from http://blogs.democratandc...onicle.com/kevino/?p=2220

While Regier has the final say on all matters hockey within the organization, Devine oversees operations in Rochester. (Yes, he needs an amendment to his job title; his duties span well beyond just amateur scouting.)

Boyd Gordon
Jim Slater

I'm sure Darcy will dangle the infamous 2nd rd pick.

- mhp

I mentioned Boyd Gordon on page 3 or 4 I think, Brennen for Gordon he's very good on FA. That would be just another typical Darcy move if you ask me, we need more scoring on the second line. Stafford will be here until he retires.

He can't get bought out if he's hurt. So you're jumping the gun here. This injury is more bad news than it is good news.

I think they should just tell him he has to do the surgery now. I said it 2 weeks ago as well when the injury first popped up. That means he'll be healed and the injury isn't an issue.
