FWIW, this problem has been reported on several sites today, including TMZ, Digg, and others. Admins want you to know they're taking it very seriously, and have been working on the issue all day.

You may be on to something.

Because some people say that. And I'm sure you see the same things on other boards about the guys on those teams that fit in the "Matt Ellis" mold.

I haven't had a problem with the way Ellis has played. I just wish the coach would use him in the proper situations more often.

Matt Ellis has no ability to be in the NHL. But honestly he is not a defensive liability, like players such as gerbe and our defenseman... Although Matt Ellis is not going to be the one that allows you to hoist the cup he is also not going to be the one that keeps you from hoisting the cup (other than he is taking a better players roster spot)

hes a depth forward. hes replaceable. you arent replacing him with anyone better.

he started over gerbe once, but thats interchangeable. he doesnt sniff the lineup when leino is back.

Gerbe brings way more to the table than Ellis, and I'd rather bring up almost anyone from Rochester than play him. When Leino comes back, someone else will be out, and Ellis will be out there. Barring injury, I'd make the safe bet that says he plays in at least 42 games this season.

Yes it is. Matt ellis and John scott are the reason we can't roll 4 lines of actual hockey players, tough to stay fresh in a compressed schedule when you have 9 forwards. On a team that can't score it's insulting to suggest someone is Roch scores too much to be here

It's amazing how the tides have turned. Last year, the mantra was: "Lindy and Darcy both need to go, but if I could only choose one, it would be Darcy". Darcy Regier makes one trade; the coach starts to mismanage his roster, and all of a sudden you have a vice versa, and I think I'm in that group. Thomas Vanek is currently 60th among NHL forwards in ice time. That's just wrong.
