Trade Pommer too, and that has nothing to do with the job he has done in Buffalo the last two years. He is a movable asset, move him. Get as young and talented (draft picks most likely) as possible. There will be growing pains.
- Gunner Staal

There is a problem with that... everyone wants to be young and have a great young pipeline but no body here has the patience for those pieces to mature...

Everyone expects our 18-23 year old players to be leading the league in every category every season... no one is okay with growing pains...

There's no guarantee that Armia works out either. Just like signing Leino was no guarantee.

It's frustrating to be around here sometimes because everyone screams and yells that they need to make a move, and when they do, everyone screams and yells about how bad of it move it was.

- HonkFortheGoose

Armia possibly not working out doesnt mean the Leino signing was any less awful...

I get that we were desperate for a center
And I realize u have to overpay in free agency
But overpaying a guy, and expecting him to succeed at a position he didn't play in the NHL just doesn't make sense

And of course ppl are gonna b!tch when moves that are made don't work out
We need to make the RIGHT moves

And for the record, I'm a Darcy supporter!!!
but that Leino deal was a result of missing out on Richards and was a mistake
(btw, I didn't want Richards either)

I don't think they'd get the type of return on him that they probably should. He's very underrated around the league, IMO. I'd rather keep him than basically give him away with nothing.

I understand that it must be tough to finally see Vanek put it all together like he has recently and talk about trading him. But he is playing like Lemieux and the Sabres are still losing games and looking bad doing it.
- Gunner Staal

nice to say that our player is playing up to a Penguins icon and not any other player...

which is a big problem, 3000 people waiting to buy seasons for this product? That's kinda sad. How is that going to get a message across to management that we are sick of this when we keep buying the product?
- Homer

I get what you're saying, I really do. I just hope you understand why I wouldn't be inclined to give up my tickets at this point either.

Pegula isnt supposed to be that kind of owner. He is supposed to be the guy that cares about the product first and the money 2nd. That's what he stressed when he became the owner....

It shouldn't take the arena being 70% full for change.

1 team 1 goal and.......... ONE SACRIFICE:

Next Home game not a single fan should enter the arena but stand outside while the game is being played and DEMAND A COACHING CHANGE "RUFF MUST GO"

Lindy, you're a great guy but this is business...and your "system" hasn't and isn't working!!!

Ennis bothers me this year mainly because he isnt into it, could have 3 more tap in goals if he just paid attention when Vanek sets him up.

Told Pauld Hamilton he doesnt take face offs seriously. I mean really?

This may sound petty but his stupid skater boy hair cut bothers me too...I dont even want to look at him. This is a mans game, stop trying to look like a12 y/o girl.

I said last night to trade Miller and Vanek. Keep Pommer around to help mentor the young guys. Get back some young assets and stock up on picks in this years draft, as it's supposed to be one of the deepest in years.
- HonkFortheGoose

That makes way too much sense. Van and Pommer will be Sabres lifers I think.

I've been a Flyers fan for 20 years (I discovered them when they got Lindros in 92/93). Since the 94/95 season, the Flyers have missed the playoffs one time. Over that span, they've made it to the Finals twice and lost both times. I would suffer through 2-3 bad seasons if it meant they could stock their team with the pieces needed to win 1 Cup.

I'm confused...
Leino hasn't worked out
U said "there's no guarantee Armia works out"
But u wanna trade proven guys like Vanek & Miller for draft picks who may or may not work out?

I'm not trying to be an ass,
I'm just confused as to what you're actually advocating for?

I think Homie said it a few weeks ago.....wanting to win and knowing how to win are two different things. Terry wants to win, he's just trusting the wrong people in knowing how to do it.

Let me guess, you don't buy tickets, so it's not your money going to waste while everyone is just standing around outside.

Could we just move him back to winger???

Put him next to Grigo and Foligno...

Ott - Hecht - Stafford

I think it is time to call up Porter.. he is playing very good hockey in the AHL.. he could be used as our 4C.

I would like a coaching change as well. I think it should be the first thing done honestly. If just to shake things up a bit. Maybe the players need a wake up call. I'm not sure what else would work.

Agreed about everything you have to say about ennis! I loved him his rookie year and even last year. But this year with his girly haircut and what you just said really irks me. He has a lot of potential and could easly be a 60+ guy. He has got to mature though obviously and soon.

I 'm not telling you how to spend your money, I just dont get why people would want to spend good money on a product that leaves them frustrated more times than not.

I said this all summer.... we balked at Ennis for Ryan because of a strong 15 games to end last season by Foligno - Ennis - Stafford...

I would trade a player on potential any day of the week... Especially undersized players.

I would imagine most Buffalo fans are tired of 'growing pains'. Tired of the constant 'rebuliding' from both professional organizations.
I would not move Vanek nor Pomminville.
