PA Parenteau once tight-roped across the Atlantic Ocean stopping only once to liberate Guam from the Spanish. - eichiefs9

When PA Parenteau donates blood he declines the syringe and instead requests a handgun and a bucket. |

If PAP was still here we wouldn't be complaining about KO or Boyes on the first line, the first line would be fine & we would be complaining about how KO is screwing up the second line.
Had Snow traded him as he should have, we could be complaining right now that pic we got should be called up now or that the player we got is friggen worthless.

Very true x. KO actually played decent on the second line with Grabs and Nielsen in stretches. More when it seemed to not matter but he was better with them then where he is now. Good post for those with the, "PA didn't fit into this clubs line up" ideology. |

KO has a track record, a history of doing s**t early on in a season, while the team is in a playoff hunt, then racking up goals and points at the end of a season, when there is no pressure to perform and the team's out of it. PAP has nothing to do with it. KO did that before PAP was here and does it now that PAP has left as well. Hopefully, none of us will have to see it again because the team will be in the playoff hunt all year, but if the Isles fall out, watch KO's numbers shoot up. He doesn't contribute when he's needed most. |

Nelson got his first hat trick and Niño got one at BRI in their win over NOR.
Like to see Okposo at center. Let him mix it up in the middle. Think it gets him more involved in the game and maybe draw PPs. - Fan101
center has more defensive responsibilities than the wingers, for this and a few other reasons putting KO at center would be a disaster. |

mostly bc the guy has played wing his entire career and to switch positions at the nhl would not only be a disaster but would put an end to any value he may have at this point. |

Last season, yes. In his most successful season though, his second full one, his points were split pretty evenly between the first and second half...27 points from Oct - Dec (including points in the first six games of the season...tough to argue they were out of it then!), and 25 points from Jan-April. I don't think folks remember what a nice player KO was that second year. The guy on the ice now is nowhere near the player we saw in 09-10, and I can't explain why. |

These stats sort of suprised me:
Career goals split:
Pre All star game: GP 145 G31 A 50 80pts
Post All Star: GP 134 G 38 A 45 83pts
Not a huge difference. But check out how awful his goals are in the first three months:
Oct-Dec: 119gp 16 goals 37 A 53 pts.
Jan-Mar: 160gp 46 goals 50 A 96pts.

I love the idea of the size and skill Nino and Nelson can bring especially if Nino's head is on right. |

How about Okposo playing center and taking draws on the PP? Whatever was written before that lost any credibility |

It's the domino effect. Once you make a mistake it "SNOW" Balls! One mistake followed by another. PAP should have been signed long before his contract was up or allowed to entertain the UFA market. Plain and simple.
Seems it only takes 6 games to evaluate a Minor league "D" man and sign him to 3 yrs. But putting up 67 points and playing on the top line wasnt enough time to evaluate PAP's worth! |
