The best was Goring going on and on how Okposo was doing such a great job opening up space for Moulson and Tavares. The guy doesn't muck it up in the corners and when he does he rarely comes out with the puck in fact he's usually lying on the ice surface pleading for a call. It was especially funny because sometimes these little chirps from Goring seem like the Isles do it to kind of simmer the fires from the fans. Like they are aware 90% of fans know Okposo has no buisness on the first line and that he's been sucking it up.

The problem with the game now is that they are so intent on eliminating head shots that players all over the NHL are being penalized for clean hits and the players are flailing and acting like they are hurt every time they get hit. Martin drilled Larsson with a clean hit nowhere near his head and larsson went down grabbing his face. There was no call because it was clean and when strait drilled Gionta he went down snapping back his head back and rolling around like he was hurt. Its turning into soccer out there and its embarrassing.

I think they are just being nice and instead of cutting him they are gonna give him the old phantom injury. Then again Martinek can get hurt just breathing, so who knows

i dont think gionta was embellishing the hit at all, i think it was the way he was hit...looked like he had the wind knocked out of him...DEFINITELY NOT a penalty though. tough way to lose.
