Hey, at least we got to a final, how long has it been since Toronto can say that. Hell, Toronto hasn't been relevant since 1994, heck even Edmonton, Calgary and Ottawa on some pretty mediocre teams have made the final and got to the 7th game like we have.

Do you think the Canucks are relevant?

Ovie won't get traded unless he asks to be, and even then I doubt it would happen until this summer. I was with some buddies today and one of them brought up an interesting idea:

That MG and Gilman were both at the game themsevles instead of just sending scouts while watching the game on TV in Vancouver themselves just to increase speculation about a goalie trade and perhaps get a team that is interested in Luongo to make an offer or a better offer.

Just wild speculation, but it's interesting.

And the Superbowl was great!

It's not the 48 game season Canucks fans should be worried about.

Keeping both is not an option.

Just curious, what should Canucks fans be worried about, oh wise one?

Playoffs. How does having two goalies benefit us in the playoffs? We need more depth upfront.

While you're right, due to the salary cap, keeping both goalies is not an option (at least through next season), I wouldn't be so sure you don't have to worry about the 48 game season.

But what if that depth is Tim Connolly, or Clark MacArthur? Making a bad deal for the sake of relieving tension in the crease is worse in my opinion.

Don't worry about Connolly or Macarthur. The Leafs don't need a downgrade in net.

How does having two excellent goalies not benefit the Canucks?

Obviously if a deal comes along that improves the team, you make the deal, but it doesn't appear that any of the offers would've been an improvement.

I'd rather MG keep two good goalies than trade one for garbage.
