Their shootout stats are close -- given Hodgson has only taken 8. He's 1 away from 50%, as is Burrows.

Certainly, for the Canucks, Burrows is the better choice. Not necessarily for every other team though.

To close, Burrows is one of my favourite players in all the NHL -- not just the Canucks -- and has been for many years. Personally, I don't get the Hodgson-diminishing that goes on here. The trade will be a win/win if Kassian keeps developing positively -- with the edge to Buffalo because of Sulzer.

Exactly. In the playoffs you need lines 2-4 to step up, chip in offensivly and wear guys down. Brower and Ward would be be perfect for that and provide lots of depth

I would say that of all the guys you mentioned they are not the Canuck trolls. I could name a few of our own that are that are offensive and irritating but thats not my style. Our regs are pretty good and only attack when the dill holes come to play in our tread.

Not getting into this OV trade thing too much, or speculating on what his value is—as originally this all started as a joke—but you are severely underrating Burrows if you equate him to 6th of 7th round pick "in [any] kind of trade."

The guy is a fantastic hockey player. Even through all of the fan bias that comes with a rivalry like the Canucks and Hawks have, you should be able to see this. (frank)ing laughable—6th or 7th rounder....

Ovie won't get traded unless he asks to be, and even then I doubt it would happen until this summer. I was with some buddies today and one of them brought up an interesting idea:

Toronto hasn't played in the finals since there has been 4 rounds in the playoffs to win it all. They have never won more than 3 rounds in a single run.
