I would say that of all the guys you mentioned they are not the Canuck trolls. I could name a few of our own that are that are offensive and irritating but thats not my style. Our regs are pretty good and only attack when the dill holes come to play in our tread.

YEp I think the goaltending they have will be fine. Fluery may have lost a bunch of starts with his poor play. They may end up with a goalie controversy of their own.

Vancouver is in an enviable position in the goaltending department.

Given the compacted schedule keeping both players would make sense at least till the deadline when the pressure is at its highest.

It will be interesting to watch it play out and see what the return is if a trade is made.

Does Vancouver make a deal with an eye to the future or try to add immediate help?

So how would you guys feel if an actual deal were to happen that involved Ovi to Van? What would you give up?

With the amounts that he has declined in the last two years , I wouldn't want it. He would have the salary of Booth and Lu and a term of Moses

I am not sure it can happen without van gutting their team. You have to look at a 64 mill salarycap next yr. Lu, Booth, Ballard, Edler, 2 1sts for Ovi and Carlson. Which is a joke but probably the best we can do.
Ovi to the wings for say Fillpulla, Kronwall, Smith and a 1st is what should go down if a deal is made

I would take Burrows at centre on a first line before CoHo. I could list a dozen reasons why but that is just to much typing.
- thundachunk

I'd like to see your dozen reasons -- this could be fun. Hodgson is doing just fine this season, so far. I'll start my counter list for you:
1. Burrows can fill in, but he is no center -- and never has been.

Yes, but can you explain how he is a minus 3 on a line with vanek who is plus 4 poor cody it seems he hasn't worked on his skating much, at least his hips are doing good
- pker2theend

Actually, Hodgson is even on the =/-. Burrows is -1.

I'd rather have a better player with Edler that's for sure. Hated the signing, and haven't seen anything to make me change my mind. Also, why was Ballard put in the dog house for a few years because he couldn't play the right side, but Garrison's arrival makes Edler move over while he's put in his best possible position to succeed?

... And he still looks lost 95% of the time.

- DrChristianTroy

...because he told AV he wasn't comfortable on the right side. And we all know AV don't like to be told....

Garrison will be fine with some more time. Scoring aside, he's been better than Edler so far. Every player should be put in "his best possible position to succeed", of course. That's not always possible.

1 Better two way player
2 Better back checker
3 Better at face-offs already
4 Better forechecker
5 Better penalty killer
6 Stronger skater (not faster stronger on his skates)
7 Can play as on a scoring line as well as a checking line
8 More versatile in every position
9 I think Burr also won the top sniper in skills comp against Coho
10 He will fight (and bite LOL)
11 Can play the point on the power play
12 Defensively he just plain dominates over Coho
I guarantee every team in the league would take Burrows over Coho excluding Leafers no one is good enough for them.

Kind of like your little Canuck fan board party? You seem well versed on those type of parties. You keep slinging poop and that is usually an attempt to cover what you are doing yourself. KB3, Marwood, Whiskey, 1970, Vantel, Hank all you tools sitting around dressed in fantasy costumes watching tranny porn.

Are you really as stupid as you sound? Or is it just bitterness because that "hot" female from Vancouver you were interested in turned out to have more than advertized? To me, you sound bitter and that you have some huge chip on your shoulder. Have a beer, watch a game....

I don't want anything to do with Ovi. He disappears when the going gets tough. Look at the WJHC, Olympics and every Caps playoff round. At 9.5 he makes Luongo look like like an absolute steal. If the Canucks and Caps are talking I hope Gillis is looking at guys like Laich, Brower, Ward, Alzner, Carlson etc.

Number 1 covers 2, 4 and 12. 7 & and 8 are pretty well the same thing.

Do you know the stats? Both were 43% in their last game.

Hodgson plays the point on Buffalo's PP sometime too.

Their shootout stats are close -- given Hodgson has only taken 8. He's 1 away from 50%, as is Burrows.

Certainly, for the Canucks, Burrows is the better choice. Not necessarily for every other team though.

To close, Burrows is one of my favourite players in all the NHL -- not just the Canucks -- and has been for many years. Personally, I don't get the Hodgson-diminishing that goes on here. The trade will be a win/win if Kassian keeps developing positively -- with the edge to Buffalo because of Sulzer.
