Just straight stupid.

This team needs to stop pushing the play more. I think everybody, except maybe JJ and Clarkson, has been far too inconsistent trying to establish a forecheck.

Yes something needs to be done that is for sure anyway you look at it this is 4 losses in a row barring a miracle you can sugar coat it and say 3 where in o.t so we got points but those three points good be the three points that have us looking in from the outside at the end of the season like no body showed up except for the CBG line and marty and now they have packed there bags by the looks of it

Minimal effort breaking out of our zone. No shots once we get into the offensive zone. Here's to hoping they bring a better effort tomorrow.

I honestly think this is what the team did, justify the losses with points. Why else would they come out so flat every game after losses? Hell even in our wins there was a lot we needed to improved, but it hasn't happened.

Something needs to wake them up and hopefully this is it or a trade but seeing Salvador limp on that shot made me think if a D goes down we can't afford to trade one to boost our offense regardless of what happens this season I hope we make a big splash at the draft if we are giving up our 1st next year then we need a dynamic forward I doubt we get Druin Mckinnon or Jones but if we can make the play offs and get a top 10 draft pick we would be looking good

I've only got to watch the 3rd but it's just a head scratcher like wth. It's time to move someone there not scoring consistently. Idk just frustrating to watch being dominated by a team rolling 4 lines and we can't even shoot the puck.

Yea I don't really get why you do something like that you are up 5-1 is it because he ran over Gino maybe but still man clean hit show some class he plays the total opposite of what I expect from a Canadian player

yea but we have #4 behind the bench now that's good enough for me ! haha but seriously I would really like to see a trade and I know im probably the only one thinking this cause Barch is a way better hockey player then Janssen but my god the two fights he has had where brutal and I would argue Janssen would of won them, yea you don't get any points for winning fights but it would have been nice to get Prust this off season I hate watching wrestling matches and terrible fights

It's disappointing to see two games in a row so poorly played from a defensive standpoint. Today we didn't carry play anywhere on the ice. Even when down entering the third you didn't get the feeling another comeback was in store.

If there's a silver lining I think this demonstrates that we need a move in order to solidify our depth, which means a move may get done sooner than we would have been anticipating.

Unfortunately, it may also demonstrate that losing Fayne from the lineup has a negative effect, thus he may be less dispensable than some of us, including me, might have thought. And I like Fayne and his positional play. I think he is very underrated. We just may need him even more than I originally thought.

Another positive is you can't identify too many bad goals by Marty this year, if any at all. If we give him proper coverage in front he should be fine.

Henrique has a Parise-esque drive to his game.. which is why i'd like him LW with Zajac-Kovy. .. even though he seems to thrive at center ice.

Parise leaving will always be stinger... here i go. read or skip.

When Gomez left we felt the void until Zajac emerged. We're going to feel this for a while. Parise was every team's dream- a 17th overall pick being homegrown into a top line LW/captain that more than half of the the league would covet. He was part of this group that's now in their prime (Zajac, Clarkson, Greene) that were supposed to take over for the veteran/departing group (Langs, Elias, etc). And it would've worked too. They're in their prime as the next group comes in (Larsson, Josefson, Henrique.. and what we hoped would be Tedenby). If he stayed we'd be more than set for the present and the future. Parise, Zajac, Clarkson, Greene would turn into the vets while Larsson, Josefson, Henrique enter their prime and the following group of studs come in- Boucher, Matteau, hopefully Tedenby, on offense .. and Gelinas, Urbom, Merrill on D.
The trick is to find that player or 2 or 3 that mixes talent and leadership in a draft when you rarely draft earlier than 15th.. meaning you're always a winning team, which we are. If you find that player and can acquire or draft another, then you're really set for the next 5 year bracket until hopefully another one emerges on O or D as a rookie.
Parise was a HUGE part of our future success, along with Zajac and apparently Clarkson looks like a guy I want to keep on this team (he's actually strong on the puck this year!). I don't see us as a legit contender until Henrique or someone else emerges as one of those top tier players to support or co-lead, both in production with Kovy, and in terms of leadership. I think we'll have to wait a bit for another Cup run.. barring this group finding the answers through a trade or within.. winning by committee and everyone giving 110%. That's how we did it in the playoffs with a gimp Kovy and Elias.. so one could argue if we have a healthy Kovalchuk in the playoffs this year that we'll be just as good as last year with a healthy Parise.. but at least teams still had to defend Kovy's shot. Maybe we can call up Butler lol. he can score at least .

rant.

Sensible concerns and yes Clarkson's skating, balance and strength on the puck are all vastly improved over the last two seasons. His passing this year is better too in my eyes.

There has to be a trade or something in the offing. The team has cap space and extra d-men with which to deal. There are teams out there where any of our D-men could go there and justifiably play 20 minutes a night. And where our need for wing scoring would be just as great as some team's need for D. Something has to happen soon. The whole Tedenby/Fayne mystery injuries thing just adds to that.

i think its time to accept the fact that the swedish exchange program is a failure. tedneby is going to be a career minor leaguer, JJ hasn't shown anything, he is horrible on faceoffs and couldn't hit the net if it was a soccer goal, and now we come to adam larsson, time to stop drinking the kool-aid, the guy is a stiff, he is slow to the puck, soft on the boards, always gives up the puck when under pressure, can't really judge his shot since he always seems to hit the forward in front of him. everybody wants to trade a defenseman for a forward, the guy they should trade is larsson, see if you can find a sucker who is also drinking the kool-aid and move him quickly.
