THEY CHANGED COACHES AND TURNED IT AROUND WITH CRAPPY ROSTERS MAN!
SABRES WOULD WIN THE CUP IF THEY CHANGED COACHES MAN!!!! - robz228
I wouldn't go that far, but it can't possibly turn out any worse than what we're watching today. |

Let us know when on paper settles games. - ShootingSemin
Fair enough. If you followed the conversation, you'd know I was just disagreeing with a belief that the Habs have a strong forward lineup. I didn't think this was controversial, if anything the Habs' strength in goal and on D with a healthy Markov. |

You're probably right,
But we really need to make some changes
Maybe we can make a trade for one this season
And then sign a guy like Smid in the offseason, or possibly trade for another guy?
And if our defense continues to be so mediocre in general,
Let's at least give Brennan a shot and get McNabb up here...
I don't see how they could be any worse?! - jdfitz77
I'v seen Brennan play a lot. His defense leaves much to be desired. Which not what we need. |

Hodge looks pretty good today.. - BuffaloKyle
He'd look better if he could actually bury something.
The -2 he's currently sporting isn't helping his cause either. |

They play top minutes, do they not? They are average, at best, in that regard.
Every team in the league has "above average" players. The Islanders, for example, has John Tavares who actually is a star. The team is still essentially garbage. - Mr_Clean
Montreal isn't a terrible team, but they aren't anywhere near the top, despite their fast start. Getting rolled like this by a team like Montreal means you have problems. |

and there it is.
I was waiting for someone to say this.
It's the Vanek thing all over again...... - HonkFortheGoose
Probably because you noticed it yourself. It's not the Vanek thing all over again because this kid is only 18. He definitely looks like he would be a good candidate for Gary Roberts power skating program though. |

So, if you're Miller during the intermission, do you:
a) lay into the defense, a stream of curse words emanating from you like lava from Mt. St. Helens
b) give everyone in the room a look disgust and then sit silently for the break
c) tell Lindy to play Jonas in the 3rd
I'm saying C. - lacaprup
A & C
Possibly D which would be telling them they are all a bunch of pu$sies & they can go (frank) themselves. |

There you go, pretty below average. If they exceed expectations all year, then good for them, but they're not great. |

They looked terrible until they made a coaching change. That's what it has to do with. They managed to turn it around and make the playoffs, with the Kings winning. - HonkFortheGoose
I know one thing it is painful to watch 3-57, also sucks to lose 44 I think he's been one of our better d-men this season. |

I can. They're average. They're no better than stafford or Ennis at this point in their careers. The Montreal forwards are an absolute trash heap and we are making them look like the 70's habs. - The_Inkwell
Stafford completely sucks, he's below average. |

If I'm him, I go into the locker room throwing my stick and screaming, so I guess I'd pick A. He came out and admitted he needed to play better against Toronto. It's time for his teammates to come out and play better for him. |

True say - I don't honestly think there's much of a difference between any of the NE division teams other than Boston, it just so happens that Mtl and Ott have played well so far, Tor OK, and Buff godawful thus far. Whether it's chemistry, coaching, or a hot/cold streak causing it is beyond me. |
