Cannata is really taking advantage of his starts due to Lack and Climie's injuries.

Just had 40 saves in a 5-2 win last night. Small sample size, but great for a rookie, especially considering the Wolves D isn't exactly a juggernaut. Looking like a steal for a 6th round pick.
Future goalie controversy?
Archibald had 2 assists, as well.
Mallet and Grenier are doing well with the K-Wings. Both are continuing to put up decent numbers (although Mallet had a slow start). Grenier 1g 9a through 10 games, since coming back from Austria.
Mallet had a nice fight against Tyler Butler the other day;

come on, the great thing about twitter is that you can be anywhere, its the message that matters. Lu would still get re-tweeted by MSM. Maybe not as much as here in Van, but he would still be big.

No one thought he was a bad goalie. The fans were taken for a ride and still are. The media reports Lu is gone ,you see interviews with him saying he would be happy to let go the NTC . You hear him saying he would like to play in Florida.
They fans were getting unemotionally attatched at this point fully expecting a Luongo trade. We were all getting ready for the new chapter in Canucks history.
In this case 1+1 does not equal two ,it equals 54 or some other bizzar number. This story has more twists than a contorsionists underwear.
Most fans are here saying, tell us who our number one goalie is and we are behind them . - VANTEL
Many here did see him as a "bad goalie" (shiddy and DCT for 2) and Schneider an elite ("no weaknesses) superstar. They didn't like those of us who continued to support Luongo while still liking Schneider and seeing him as very good also (with his own weak areas). |

Popping by for a Bloody Mary? - Marwood
Lol, not today, but I do love a Bloody Mary for Brunch. One of the best I've ever had was in Seattle at the Palace Kitchen. Hung to the gills, large bottle of San Pel, big as your head Bloody Mary and the kind of burger that drips down your elbows. |

Thanks for the update Fosc. I really hope Mallet continues .I love when he fights and hits. We could use a guy like him on this team. He can also score. |

That was back in the days when he was a headcase, I am also on that list. Bobby Lu has grown up since then ,and last year most of us thought he had matured into a very good goalie but CS was a better choice.
I think if Gillis hadn't screwed things up and traded Lu back at TDL it would not have been a circus . It was hard to get full value for LU so looks like now he is staying . |

Did you notice what position Luongo was in on Kane's goal?

Mr. Floppy. You could see the scouting in action. Everytime the hawks got in close they tried to wait Lu out hoping that Mr. Floppy would show up. |

He's a good goalie but boy does he have some major flaws.
Glove hand...flopping on belly...post to post movement....puck handling.
Schneider is more technically sound and won't have as many bad games, weak goals etc... He will be much more consistent. |

No problem. Mallet should be an important player on the Wolves next season, and hopefully he can get more comfortable than he was this season.
It's nice that he can develop some chemistry with Grenier.
Another prospect who's doing well is Ludvig Blomstrand, playing for Almtuna in Allsvenskan.
6 foot 2, 218 pounds, 1993 b.
Has picked up 11g 4a, in 21 games since being traded from Djugarden.
Patrick Berglund was the only player this season scoring at a higher pace in the Allsvenskan, before he came back to STL.
Was always known as a bit of a grinder before. Style of play has been compared to Jannik Hansen. |

Cory S is the worst puck handler I have ever seen. Its pathetic. Schneider is more even keel, won't lose games for us but won't steal as many either |

Not saying that all these things aren't true, and it is early, but its funny our criticism of a guy who in 5 games has allowed only 7 goals, has a 1.46 GAA, a .944 S% and a shutout. I realize he's no Dan Ellis, but I think he's played pretty well so far. That "starfish" actually saved a goal earlier in the game when everyone was trying to push Luongo and the puck into the net. |

So, I'm not watching the Pit/NJ game, but how does the 3rd line C score, assisted by the 2nd line C and the 1st line C?

He fell on his back on that play, not stomach. |
