Sportsnet goal of the week ,Frattin's buzzer beater against Buffalo.
What a bunch of homers.
Who wants to bet that turns out to be goal of they year , and then decade? |

Yeah, totes. Mitchell was a pretty safe bet after a massive concussion. Should ahve given him a 4 year deal for the same money. And after he gave away the puck and got us beat by Chicago in the playoffs, too. Would have been great to double down on that.
You should be aware that based on trends, Gillis is going to be your next GM once Nonis gets canned. I'd start drinking the Kool-Aid now so you can tell all the Leafs fans that you told them so. - micah555
I understand Mitch is in trouble in LA. He is still out and says he is not healthy but the team doctors disagree and want to clear him. |

Missed the game(GF).
Can anyone sum up the game? Besides the goals, how was Lu? Which team had more puck posession and any big hits/scrums? - Nucker101
Vigneault is sucking the life out of this team.
Horrible game, no emotion, no nothing.
I did not think there was any possible way we'd get the W with 1 min left in overtime. |

I miss the days where the Canucks had Tommy Larshied and John Shorthouse.
We were so spoiled in Vancouver and never really appreciated the tandem.
With so many different play by play people and channels, you miss the identity and trust in the announcers.
I do not mean "homer announcers", just there is no identity and it always feels like an away game. |

Daniel seemed to be skating better tonight than I've seen in a long time.
Tanev was downright scary in his own zone as he really struggled with the Hawks forecheck.
Garrison needs work on his hand eye coordination.
Henrik was not very good at all.
Lu was spectacular of course.
Not being able to clear the puck when we get the chance is going to haunt us in the playoffs if we don't correct it soon. |

@GMillerTSN: When I told Roberto Luongo (@strombone1?) that I was picking the three stars tonight, he said "Put me down for #1, I'm feeling it." Done.

Come on now.
Canucks are first in the division with a long history of slow starts, no second line and a so-called "goalie controversy"
To be honest, we are doing much better then i originally thought with the depleted line up. |

I think the Canucks, not having a training camp and very few players playing oversees, were hurt more than others. by game 20... watch out. |

I did not know what to expect. Kassian has been the best surprise. Garrison has not disapointed but not set the town on fire either.
I think Hamhuis turns over the puck to much. His passes seem to often go away. |

Hey I'm happy with the win, but I'm not happy getting a lead every game and AV shutting it down.
Lots of positives, but still glaring turnovers from Edler, Sedins still doing nothing.
Guess we wait for Kesler and booth to save the day. |

To be honest he seemed better than his D mates tonight in this regard. I did miss the first 5 minutes of the 2nd though cuz Fin was hanging out on the concourse with my little girl. |

Hey Vantel,
On the same topic, ever notice the only place anyone calls Vancouver, "Van City" is TSN? I do not ever hear anyone use this in Vancouver itself. Of course, we know it is a bank.... I think they are just trying to be "cool". - Beatle_john

Hamhuis, bikesa and Tanev all had glaring turnovers...no one really had an error free game on d. |

Edler was an event tonight. You never know what you will get. I am a little tired of his play. It has been going on for two years and I think this is who he is. Sometimes good sometimes Bantam house league. |

The whole D looks out of sync, and i'm really sick of the blind throw it off the boards to the opposing D play. |

I guess I was not so critical. I hardly noticed Tanev. (But love the guy)
If the D was that poor, was Lou the difference? Would CS have lost? |

Don't get me wrong, they did a pretty good job of keeping the Hawks to the outside for the most part. Lou was very good. It's so hard to say wether Schneids would have lost or not as different goalies give the other teams different looks. It was pretty frustrating at times watching the D trying to move the puck out of the zone though, or even passing it to themselves trying to evade the forecheck. |
