Meh. Like I said in the other blog I think he should be moved away from Hossa.

This discussion has reached the point of silliness. Rather obvious he is not going anywhere until either A. the road trip is over or B. Carcillo comes back. He hasn't done anything to warrant a benching at this point, though not necessarily justifying a surplus of ice time.

Regardless of their line arrangements they should win this evening but if things are stale to start I can see a few changes being made and would not be opposed to that.

On a side note kind of funny how there were incessant complaints about the line shuffling the last 3 years and now that they have remained constant a lot of us want them changed.

Really great post.

Should really be the end of Saad based talks for a while. Sums it up.

Wow, thanks for stooping. Did that one sting a little? Maybe it just made you realize that in comparison to some of the other elite players out there the Sedins are quite classy.

not at all. i just don't understand why some people come on here just to instigate. you're obviously not here to discuss hockey, but rather try to get everyone riled up.

The only thing that matters is winning the Stanley Cup.

Id rather have outrageous manwhores that party with fat broads in limos that win the Stanley Cup over "classy" charity givers that finish 2nd place.

Why is that? Because I don't agree that Kassian should have to fight Bollig and instead should be able to ride shotgun with the twins? Or is it for responding to another original sister comment ?

Oh...and Brandon Saad, has ZERO points in 6 games all playing with toews and Hossa. Time for Stalberg to be moved up and Saad to go to the bench for Mayers, or to Rockford for a larger body.

Carcillo had 1 pt in 2 periods with those 2.

Enough said...

- SteveRain

Keeping Stalberg on the 3rd line makes it dangerous and gives us 3 lines that are a threat to score. Although I don't think Saad is the type of player we need next to Hossa and Toews, neither is Stalberg. I think you and I agree Carcillo is. We don't have anything in the system to fill that roll now. So I am ok leaving Saad where he is. He hasn't really hurt us and has shown some flashes. And this is also pretty good experience for him for down the road.

How does Daniel have a negative +/- if they always have the puck?

Edler has been playing like poop, probably his fault...check career stats for a more accurate picture.

Of course, there are some teams that do both.

Considering what Keith said to Kassian last game and what Keith did to Daniel you should expect an angry team. Rivalry gets jump started tonight. Book it.

I've had many a solid debate in here with your blogger. We've also had some good conversations about food. If he asks me to leave i'll do it in a heartbeat.

JJ, i think the only reason the rivalry seems dead is because the teams haven't played each other since last March. They are still both good teams, and the rivalry will heat right back up tonight. Especially if there are some shenanigans.

I really can't believe everyone is buying in so highly on this San Jose team. Go look at the schedule they've played so far. They have played (actually) every other day and just finished the 5th game of a 6 game home stand. That means lots of practice time and rest - something the Hawks have been ill afforded. Then there is the overall competition level of their opponents: Flames, Oil twice, Avs; only played one division opponent - in the Shark tank no less. Oh, and to boot, two of their wins are 1992 ties (shootout wins).

The Hawks have beaten 3 division opponents, the defending champs, and 2 teams that gave them fits last year; while bouncing all over the country barely practicing.

The Hawks are contenders, so are the Blues and I really like what they've got going on out there in Anaheim.

- nathanjf

San Jose will fade, they have benefitted from a lax schedule, healthy bodies, and an icredibly hot line. It won't last.

Since you came to discuss hockey, instead of 'golfingsince'...do you think the Sedins are more effective w/Kassian on their line, or rewind to year's prior when they had Burrows? Further, do you think Kassian protects those guys more this year than last (or the year before)?

o your point, maybe it speaks to your point about not so much who's on the other wing, but more about the Defense?

I haven't seen anything Canuck related so far this year.

Hawks lineup really falls off on the 3rd and 4th lines. I hate when coaches put soft skilled guys on the 4th line.

I think if the score is close they stick to hockey. If it's one sided then we may see some nonsense. What did Keith say to Kassian?

Nothing much. Sarcastically told him that he was a really "great" pickup at the trade deadline.

Yes Kassian protects them. Kassian will beat up any player on the Hawks. The Sedins aren't firing on all cylinders so it's kinda hard to tell who's more effective. I think the team as whole is better with Kassian with the Twins because it allows burrows to be on the second and has a trickle down effect on the team.

Does Kassian contribute offensively playing on the line with the Sedins?
