Did,nt quite know what to expect tonight. Thought it would be alot rougher.
Your team definitly carried the play, although we played the way we had to,considering we got NO 2nd line.Thought DK ,other than ringing one off the post
looked scared tonight.Got rid of puck quickly everytime he toughed it - papajk
Pretty much a marked man tonight anyway ... I think Lu was your saving grace ...
can't believe you would trade the guy over unproven Schnieder ... Congrats |

It'll be interesting to see if Pirri is called up for Bolland. If Bolland is out, he seems the likely choice as a #2 type center within the org.
Karlsson stopped 18 of 19 for Rock Vegas tonight in a 1-0 game. Good start for him, but ... Markstrom got the shutout. |

LU Seems more focussed without Buff in his front door.lol .Actually i find myself
routing for him like never before considering all the poop he,s going thru and the way he's handling it.In the salary cap era (as you know) keeping him doe,nt work for us.
Where do you guys sit with cap room?Room for Lu? |

No can do ... We already have our own LU contract in hossa ... Crow looks fine for time being
but we need a more capable backup than emery ..... |

My boy Newtohockey pointed it out on another thread......Hawks with just 6 hits ?
"They've got city hands. Counting money all their lives."
UNACCEPTABLE. How the heck we gonna win a Cup throwing 6 hits a game ?
Now i.d. the paraphrased movie quote |

Gotta hope Karlsson emerges in Rockford as a good in-house solution so other needs can be pursued later. Emery is a battler & has done something nearly impossible, but his play/movement in the crease hasn't looked good in a while. |

Gotta love Vancouver...where else do you pay $8 bucks for a carton of milk ? The mountains are nice...but they ain't that nice. And the BIG ONE is coming. - philco28
Personally I'd much rather live in Vancouver than bankrupt corrupt union arse-kissing Chicago, but thats another story. This "rune" chump takes the cake though, real classy piece of work.
Hawks gotta find ways to break up the mid-ice mucking. For the life of me I can't figure out if everyone knows the style of play the league's allowing, why do the Hawks keep favoring the small speedy non-physical sniper types... Not good. |

He's looked a lot better the past couple of games...yet still nothing to show for it.
There's a lot of debate here whether he should remain in the lineup where he currently is, another line or honing his skills in the A. Despite his improving play, the goose eggs in the points column aren't helping his case...but there is a hole in the roster to fill for now.
And there may be another depending on Bolland's prognosis. I know you'll miss your favorite Hawk if he's out, VANTEL. |

Seems the Hawks like to draft speed, skills and hockey IQ. But, you gotta fill that in with the right role players. I'd like to see better net presence.
On another note, went to an Air Force Academy hockey game tonight (and missed much of THE game). Some of the same issues though. Blazing fast team, and put 52 shots on a a goalie for two only goals--making the goalie look great because he could see everything. No real net presence. There's a lot to be said for playing simple, gritty hockey when the pretty stuff isn't working.
The lack of a tangible net presence is going to catch up with this team. |

If the Hawks can light up Luongo.... I know thats a massive IF at this point in time but If the Hawks can make Luongo look silly again then Vancouver will have even more goalie related dressing room turmoil.
Hawks PP has been better this year so let Vancouver take dumb after the whistle penalties if they want. 5 on 5 the Hawks are a deeper team.
If Saad finishes tonight with 0 points it should be his last nite on the top line for a while. - mrpaulish
Saad's best game as a Blackhawk - should continue to play exactly where he is. Kid doesn't put up a point and has a statement game. |

Anyways, good game. I'd say great but it was missing that edge that most of our tilts have. The Hawks forecheck was relentless tonight. |

the housing bubble the usa had burst is coming to canada in 2013 and with it taking down all the banks that are overleveraged. - molly2522
Actually, mortgages here with less than %25 down require insurance. Banks here are the safest in the world. It's the CHMC that's gonna get screwed.
And for the guy talking about Van's "safe housing market" ? Have a look at this website. As a prospective buyer, I follow it closely.
