This seems a very similar situation to early last season and (to a lesser degree) the year before that. Both times the Canucks underwealmed to start the season and the Hawks started fairly well. Both times the Hawks spanked the Canucks on the circus trip and Vancouver went on a tear after that.
I predict a 5-2 Hawks win. The Canucks then go on another ungodly roll and get back in the President's Trophy race. Something like 14-2-3 - NewToHockey
I said 4-2 Hawks but our D looked a little better last game ,but it was against the AVS . We are not in great form yet. |

With no Kesler on the other side, don't be surprised if Q uses the opportunity to see what he's got in terms of checking on the 3rd line. I believe that he'll start by matching Shaw's line with the Sedins line, and try and get one of or both the Toews and Bolland line vs the other Canuck lines which are severely depleted since the last time these teams played. - andru2797
Q. has been different this year and hasn't looked for the matchups as much....
Kelser being out could give him some flexibility to use Shaw....Big test if so that I will be watching with one eye open. |

No, it says Stalberg would make sense, if Weber were part of the deal. Of course it would, for the Canadiens. - MartiniMan
If the Hawks don't think they can afford to re-sign Stalberg, why wouldn't you consider a trade of Eller and Weber for Stalberg? |

Will Q match up Bolland-Kane-Sharp against the Sedins or Kruegers line? - jhawk159
If it's Kruger's line, you will definitely see a fight between Bollig and Kassian!!

Didn't feel like going back and finding the quote, but someone said the Sharks haven't played anyone with speed yet. Haven't they beaten the Oilers twice? The Oil outskated the Hawks for the most part last year by a lot. - NewToHockey
I didn't see their 1st game, but I thought the Oilers were the better team last night. Niemi was their best payer. San Jose has had an easier schedule than most so far. They are a great team, though. |

You have a great username but I have to take exception with the biting is funny comment.
What if say he poked him in the eyes with his fingers, or somehow got his arm through the sleeve of the opponent's jersey and whirled around getting two opposing players to repeatedly hit each other each time he turned around? Now that's funny!

Just a quick overview on todays posts.Keith is a dirty cheap artist and has no right to get justice.Burrows and Bolland are twins but not sisters, but Bolland is better as he doesn't pull hair or bite.Luongo is a great goalie who buckles under pressure,as does Crawford. When the going gets tough and a loss is incurred,Hawk fans move on and Nucks look for someone to blame.20 more minutes untill puck drop.GO HAWKS |

Haven't commented in a while here, so I'm glad to be back. One thing I would lie to see is a Kane-Bolland-Hossa line. I really like the way Kane played with Hossa in the first couple of games (especially the OT winner), but I think Kane is what Hossa needs. Toews and Sharp have great history as well, so there's no hurting there. What do you guys think?
Wouldn't mind seeing the Kane-Toews-Sharp line of '10 either, but don't think we'll ever see that success again with them.
Edit: Sorry if this has been discussed before |
