Ok needs a fresh start, with another team. Like others that have come and moved on and done pretty well. Nate and others..I am not sure what the Isles would get for him currently. Could wave him I guess.

Then what can you get for him now, in a trade???

Is he helping this team currently?

No.

Some were previously saying that Boyes seemed to be floating out there in his firt games but my thought was he was trying to adjust to his new team and he is a player who "Thinks The Game" and last night proved it.

I still like Okposo but I would like to see him in the middle or in the slot on the PP second team. He just seems to fade too much along the boards.

Did anyone catch Boyes raking Bryce Salvador in the face with his stick after scoring OT goal? It was def an accident as BS was lying-down in/across the crease. As Boyes pulled his stick away to celebrate the top of the blade got Bryce across the cheek area. Looked OK - no blood- getting up but he wont forget that on Sunday.

i dont know what they can get back for him because i am not privy to be a part of negotiations....having said that, i can GUARANTEE they would get more than NOTHING for him.

bothered? hardly; ill be fine but thanks for the concern.

im more shocked that even you would suggest that.

we tend to disagree...but the idea of just waiving him bc he isnt playing well right now is outlandish

No question Vukota. Offense will run into slumps the D has to pick up the slack. Just watching Striet on that last Devil goal made me
- ses111

I think now's the time to move Streit. Get something back for him while he's got value. I like his offensive side, but I've never been a fan of his defensive play. I know we are short on veterans, but we can hope Vis will fill that role, and who knows, maybe they can get someone in return with better defensive instincts.

I think Okposo is what he is, not physical, not a great skater, we all know the story. If we waived him Snow would just pick him up again

The O has been making up for the sometimes glaring mistakes on D. They still need help on the backline
- Vukota

That's why this whole Vis thing sucks. Don't want him none the less but he'll be playing and no matter what I think of him he'll probably add alot to the back end.

True, but individually, who can you point to and say, "He's been brutal?" They definitely need to tighten up and clamp down better than they have, but I think Streit, despite some mistakes, has had positive contributions as well; Strait, Hickey and Hamonic have been good; AMac's made some mistakes, but it's tough to be perfect all the time when you play half of every game; and Carkner...well, not the best defensively, but he does add some much-needed toughness while being at least serviceable most of the time.

It's not like years past where you have Gervais, or Jurcina, or someone like that where you're saying, "Please, get this guy off the ice." If Vis actually comes to play, he should absolutely be a nice upgrade. But it's probably a good thing that it's not glaringly obvious whose spot he should take.

He had to pick up the puck handler coming from the corner. The puck sorta flubbed its way to Henrique. I saw the replay...its one of those damned if you do damned if you don't. Actually, it's the center's job to help back in the slot.

Amac and Carkner to me have been brutal at times. Amac has some lapses but it's probably attributed to his minutes, the guy plays alot. Carkner makes some seriously bone headed plays. Other players cover for him thankfully but there's been some doozies.

Streit to me is light years better than last year. He still has some gaffes now and then but he's been contributing offensively.

No way in H. E. double L Garth will waive Kyle. A first round pick? Most ridiculous idea on this board of 2013. trade him? not likely. Garth doesn't admit mistakes or make trades. Can only hope someone else earns their way to the top line.

guys its early in the season and we tied for most points in atlantic. enough with this imagine if we had PA.
Ever hear the expression if it aint broke dont try to fix it. I know KO doesnt look at his best but he must be doing something right. Weather he scoring or not, its freeing up moulson and tavares to do their thing.

There is more to hockey to jugdging a player just on points. PA put up tons of points last year but you know what we lost. So maybe there a better Fight in Boyes to win?

As for Hickey, im a fan but he is no position to just become our top mins guy yet. YOu ahve to realize there is big difference when you playing max mins again the Opposing teams top line.

Thats why at times A -Mac makes mistakes, its big responsibility.

PA PARENTEAU is no longer on team. let me as you this, Who is better, PA or Grabner? Grabs has been 2nd best players on this team after tavares. Not even a debate on this.

STOP THE NEGATIVELY. go find another post. LETS GO ISLANDERS.

I'm not talking about that particular play. In general, I don't love the defensive side of this play....at least not as a top pair Dman. I love him on the PP, but he's a little too loosey-goosey 5 on 5 for me.

I liked Hillen . Hickey is showing some promise. Give him some time. Amac has his moments where I feel like my head is going to explode. He continues to get minutes but to me he's not that great. He has yet to replicate his first season which was obviously great. I'm not saying Hickey is his replacement by any means but I don't think he's(Amac) a solid defender so far this year.
