Ok I am back and I have to say I am impressed with this team as a whole so far. Of course I am still awaiting there major meltdown but still impressed. I am so happy I missed DP playing while I was away and in my mind there is no reason to play DP much at all this season. He looks kind of good sitting on the bench. Team is clicking and lets just hope it stays that way.

It was also good to see Capuano get hit in the ehad with a puck. that might actually open up his mind to hockey knowledge

youre gonna ruin it!!!

clearly there is some correlation between them winning and you not being here...

Who do they sit down for Vis? Proabably Hickey, but I hope they keep Hickey around. He's been pretty decent. Some promise there.

Yea Ive liked what I have seen from Hickey but maybe a rotation on depending who the Isles are playing... Rotating Carkner and Hickey.

Seems like KO gets worse at skating and stick handling every game... He caused a goal for NJ when he couldnt clear puck and caused the too many men on the ice penalty when he mishandled the puck and didnt get it deep. (Was really funny seeing 9 Isles on the ice tho.) He has to be demoted or mabe a healthy scratch when Bailey is ready... something to wake him up.

AMAC is not going to sit... He played over 30mins last night and blocked 5-6 shots... Plays against the other teams top line... Not sure why you are hating

Im done with Okposo. Amazing. They give him a five year deal and let PAP walk away. Okposo needs to be buried in a bottom six spot. He has to improve his game. His linemates are racking up points like crazy, and he's got s**t to show for skating with them. Its almost press-box time for KO.
- Jethro09

I've seen enough of KO. He's got no motivation.

So what happened to the "boring Devils" people were talking about yesterday? Game was wide open last night. Great to see the third line still getting things done. I think that's been critical so far. They almost always get momentum back for the team.

I hope the Isles doesn't let a little media attention go their head. They can win games if they leave it all on the ice (and tighten up on D a bit more). If they start thinking they're better than they are, they'll get in trouble. Loved Nabby's interview saying essentially that last night. In fact, I said right when they cut to him that I like his interviews in general because he keeps things grounded...always talking about having to win next game rather than inflating the meaning of the one they just played. ...but I'll still never chant his name at the Coliseum for the drama fest when the Isles claimed him

- UIF

We never let them have a lead... if we had then we would have seen the same boring devils.

He doesn't have to, he's a D-men.. as long as he defends/blocks shots.... his inability to score doesn't matter.

hes very simple and not the ideal dman in my opinion, hes biggest asset (and its valuable) is that he plays a ton

having said that...

he isnt physical- hes 6 185, he doesnt hit at all; 2 hits on the season, isnt much of a point getting, and is pretty much even in terms of +/-

hes very "blah" (for lack of a better word) to me...

Its funny, but Kyle Okposo's skating is terrible. Its as if he had promise as a kid with hockey but never turned the corner to the next level. All of that would be forgiven if he realized he's not putting up number so maybe he should play a physical game. When I saw Carkner skate over to Phaneuf I laughed to myself at how this woulda been the perfect chance for KO to step up and act like a man. Of all the players on this squad this year, he's the only one who's not cutting it. Even Grabner looks great, and i HATE admitting that.

I feel like AMAC is being over used. He's not supposed to be a guy playing 25 min a night. He's pretty sound for a guy who makes the league minimum. He should be a 5/6 guy.

I agree. I do not see Amac being a long term answer. Especially not in the top 4. Isles need a serious d upgrade this offseason.

Yha it looks like Gremlin suffered a sophomore slump last year... he may still have hands like feet...But his speed more then makes up for it.

To me KO does not seem to have a passion for this game. Maybe he needs a change of scenery or a different type of coach that is constantly on him? Something is not working with him.

AMAC caught Ted Nolans eye cause he leads by example. The kid is a workhorse, who plays big minutes, and blocks shots. How can you not like that? How do you not like a kid who is making basically the league minimum and yet he's asked to play like a 4 million dollar guy?

Thats true, he def is not a flashy dman... But not every dman is going to throw massive hits and score 15 goals and make end-to-end rushes... I think him playing sound fundamental and positional defense while blocking shots and making good outlet passes is all you can ask... That he does and does pretty damn good IMO... The Isles have him playing on the 1st d-pair which is out of position... I think he is probably a good 4th dman, maybe an ok 3rd. Just dont think he has done anything wrong to be taken out of the lineup.

He's being misused.. he's just not a first line player... His draft position, his game & our expectations for him remind me a whole lot of Bergenhiem. First round talent.. third line specialist.

He's gonna get looks cause he's prob the fastest guy in the league. Its not just that, he's just in good position, and so far really impressing to me.

I cannot believe i just gave Grabner two compliments (both well deserved)

To me he needs to go. You need to show the rest of the guys you will not get years to wake up. Isles need to start raising the bar now.
